Unprofessional and liars!!!!

I visited this patisserie yesterday because I wanted to order my first born child's first birthday cake. All this is very exciting so I had searched for the cake months ago and I had a photo of what I wanted (colours and decorations). I hadn't ordered a customised cake before so I asked my very close friend who had an older child and I knew that she ordered before a customised cake. This friend ordered a week ago and recommended this patisserie to another friend who ordered a week ago. They both bought the same size cake for £95 but different theme.

I entered in the shop and I said to the lady there that I would like to order this cake. (Please find attached the photo.) She asked me for how many people is the cake and I said 10-12. She said that you should do the small one ( she pointed at the simple cakes in the fridge) and she explained that it was the 8 inches. ( I had no idea about the inches, I didn' t have this knowledge about the cakes anyway) . I agreed though as 10-12 people won't eat a big cake. I asked for the cost and she said £120. I said to her that a week ago my friend ordered a unicorn cake for 10 people and she paid £95. Then, she said that this is impossible. That cake costs £120. I texted my friend immediately and I showed her the text and a photo of my friend's cake as I am not a liar. Then, another lady explained that they made a mistake and they made a build up unicorn for my friend and they didn't add that in the price by mistake. ( I completely understand this) . However, the lady told me that the cost is £120 for that size, the smallest size, 8 inches. If she was professional she could say, the cake costs £95, the size of your friends cake which was anyway the size that I wanted as we will be 10-12 people as well costs 95. In addition, she should have said : if you want us to just add a build up lion ( that my cake had- please find the photo attached) it will cost £10 or 20 or 30 pounds more. I am happy to pay for my child's FIRST BIRTHDAY cake. I am neither crazy nor stupid. You can't make up the price in the moment. You should have standard price for example the cost is £95 for 8 inches, £105 for 9 inches, £120 for 10 inches etc. What happened today was unprofessional. It is unfair! How would you feel if two friends of yours go to a shop, they recommend the shop, they give you details about the product and then when you go to the shop the people there tell you completely different things and make you look stupid and a liar? How would you feel? Unfortunately, from my experience today the communication with the client is very poor in this patisserie.

I told them that I am going to give them a bad review as I am not happy.

They even called my friend to say that I can't give a bad review as I didn't buy anything from their shop. Thanks God I didn't eventually buy anything. They also said that I shouted. I used a firm voice but I didn't shout! I was veryyyyyy disappointed as I went there for a happy thing , a good reason! I was also angry as I drove from Tottenham there with an 11 months old for nothing. They also said that I wanted the bigger size. How would I ask for the bigger size when we will be 10-12 people? I am not going back again! There are many shops in London which make fantastic cakes!

I lost my time today but you lost a client who could buy 3 customised...

Visited yesterday for tea, coffee, and baklava. The baklava was nice, hence the 1 star. Having read the reviews all the negative reviews are a sign you need to change or train your staff basic customer service. In my experience, the staff made us feel extremely uncomfortable. They stared at us most of our visit as if they wanted to close, though we had plans to leave before the closing time. We ordered turkish coffee and asked for fresh mint tea, which the older lady responded, saying they only had mint tea bags. We agreed as there was no mention of lemon within this tea. When it arrived, it tasted bitter, so we asked if it was mint like we asked. They responded, saying the tea bag was lemon mint. We expressed our dissatisfaction, which they chose to ignore and instead picked up a cloth and began to clean the shop - 0 acknowledgement. When we got up to pay, we expressed our disappointment and asked if this could be taken off the bill as I was unable to stomach it. She responded, saying her system wouldn't let her remove something and denied our request to adjust the bill despite the fact they did not communicate the ingredients or accept their mistake. The younger staff member then walked over to her they both turned their backs to us, fully blocking the pos, and began to secretly talk and giggle whilst doing absolutely nothing with the system. I am a senior software engineer in a large company and have done this for the last 12 of my life. I am fully familiar with pos systems like the one they were using and know the system wasn't the issue it was the staff. We had done nothing other than want to have a drink which suited our taste buds only to be treated like we were dumb school kids and be forced to pay for something that I didn't want or drink. Baring in mind this drink was literally boiling water and a tea bag, which would have taken them no more than 5 seconds to make. Absolutely ridiculous behaviour which ruined our night. Just a shame that their behaviour could impact the whole...

Go if you want to get food poisoning!!

I went last night and got an order of £40 worth of baklava and katmer. Where do i start firstly it took 15 mins for 2 ladies to even acknowledge us and ask if we would like to order. Then we placed an order and the lady said that it would take about 10 minutes for the katmer to be made fresh i said thats fine.

Got the box nice and hot and excited so went home to eat it and it had a horrible old oil smell. I though it should be fine. After eating the katmer it only took 2 hours before. Myself my partner and mother too all felt sick and all of a sudden needed the toilet. Realising that we have all gotten a severe upset stomach i thought what could it be. Had some baklava left over ate some today too and again we have all got a severe upset stomach.

What can i say about it over all is that if you are looking to get a severe upset stomach or wait around for a while to be served then this turkish desert patisserie is definitely the place.

WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDING TO FRIENDS...

I would like to give a review based on my experience. I was a bit worried at first based on the reviews, but I decided to give it a go and I have to say I was not disappointed at all with this cake shop. I ordered a birthday cake for my daughters 6th birthday. The service was so professional and they very very helpful and friendly. My cake was made in a day and it was beautiful and delicious, everyone at the party asked for more cake. I’m very thankful and pleased with the great job of their chef. I do recommend this cake shop 100%.

I was invited to a birthday, they ordered a cake here and spent 100£!!!! . The cake was absolutely disgusting and the coloring they used was out of date or something else was wrong as it had a strong weird taste !! This is not all ! She took a piece of the cake and went back to the shop and the “chef” was in holiday so they couldn’t give a refund ( as they should) . Basically she paid 100£ for a cake that ended up in the bin . I’m doing this review as this cake made me vomit 🤮 .
