I recently dined at Genzo Greek and had an extraordinary experience that left me eager to return. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance transported me straight to a quaint seaside taverna in Greece. The decor, with its blue and white color palette, coupled with the gentle sound of traditional Greek music, created an inviting and relaxing atmosphere.
The menu offered a wide array of authentic Greek dishes, each prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I started with the mezze platter, which was a delightful assortment of tzatziki, hummus, and dolmades, all bursting with flavor. The spanakopita was perfectly crispy and filled with a rich blend of spinach and feta.
For the main course, I opted for the moussaka, which was absolutely divine. The layers of eggplant, ground meat, and creamy béchamel sauce were cooked to perfection. My dining companions chose the lamb souvlaki and the grilled octopus, both of which were equally impressive, tender, and flavorful.
The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving. Our server provided excellent recommendations and made sure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect.
To top off the evening, we indulged in a slice of baklava, which was the perfect blend of sweet and nutty, with just the right amount of honey.
Overall, Genzo Greek offers an authentic and memorable Greek dining experience. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or a special night out, this restaurant is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Read moreWent here for a meal on a Saturday evening, was quiet when we arrived but very quickly filled up until there wasn’t a free table left! Genzo has a nice feel to it, it’s a small, family run restaurant and the service reflects this in that they are very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, very fresh, nicely prepared and generously portioned. So generously portioned in fact, that after my mixed Meze starter, I didn’t have room for my main course! We went for the Chicken Souvlaki which was lovely and tender and perfectly seasoned, and the Pastichio, which was rich and full of flavour. Also opted for the Vanilla Pod Pana Cotta with the raspberry sorbet to share, absolutely delicious and finished the meal off perfectly. If I had one small gripe it’s that I don’t like when restaurants add their own service charge for anything less than a group. I would have been inclined to offer them more than the statutory 10% as the meal really was fantastic, but this just rubs me the wrong way. However, not worth docking a point for and I would certainly visit again and recommend Genzo very...
Read moreMy dish, stifado, was not as good as the last time. It was dry - not enough sauce. The burguri that came with it was totally bland - useless - and the salad was a joke at 90% lettuce leaves, literally one small slither of tomato and some onion. This is not a salad, this was, how cheaply can I get away this pretend salad. The cheaps weren't any good either. It's a restaurant, I'm paying a lot of money so don't bloody give me pre frozen french fries. What, am I a child? Cut the chips and make them yourselves. The reason it got 4 stars is because the food the others had was excellent, minus the ridiculous salad. ie the kleftico, sheftalies, keftedes, creamed feta and red wine. Their pita bread was the best I ever had period. The waitresses were decent, neither exceptional...
