Having walked past this restaurant nearly every day for the past two years I decided to give it a go. Unfortunately I was underwhelmed by our experience here, although my partner really enjoyed it. Positives were the waiting staff were very pleasant, attentive and friendly, the restaurant has a really nice ambience, the chicken beyti main was cooked nicely for me and my partner loved her stuffed artichoke main. Negatives were how quickly the experience lasted, two starters, two mains in one hour felt so rushed. The mains came out five minutes after our starters were taken, the place was not busy but it would've been nice to relax a little more. Then the prices. The hummus starter doesn't come with bread, this was a first for me and cost £6.50. The halloumi and avocado starter cost £8.45 and was literally two slices of grilled halloumi and half an avo with a bit of oil. It was fine, but very basic for the price. The artichoke main veg accompaniment looked like it was straight out of a tin. Sweetcorn, peas and carrots did not look appetising at all. My pilaf rice was wet and contained sweetcorn and peas and was unseasoned. For the price I would expect a bit more. Two starters, two mains and a carafe of wine with service was £70 in one hour. A bit more care and patience with the food and timings would have made the...
Read moreWe read the fantastic reviews and we were really eager to visit. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very clean. The lighting and decorations give the restaurant a lovely feel. The service is top class. The waitresses were polite and attentive. The head chef Congiz made us feel so welcome and was very attentive! You can see his passion for cooking as the food was flavoursome and fresh. You must try the mixed grill - the portion was generous and delicious. The lamb shish in yoghurt was very very tender! So many main courses to choose from. To finish it off, the chef created us a delicious light and fresh dessert with fruit and baklava. We will definitely be...
Read moreWe have eaten there previously as they allowed our small dog in. The meal was okay and the staff were very nice. We called in and rebooked for another family event. We had the dog with us and they reassured us that the dog was welcome. We arrived at the restaurant and were then refused entry because of the dog. I was clearly very embarrassed and had to find a more hospitable venue which fortunately we did. The waiter claimed it was against the law which it is not unless the dog goes into food preparation areas. I have given one star not because they disallowed the dog, restaurants have every right to do so, but one star is for the inconsistency that led to my...
