I recently dined at this restaurant with friends and was deeply disappointed by both the quality of service and food. We ordered a roast lamb which should naturally fall off the bone when cooked properly; however, it did not, and the meat was undercooked. Despite our group's size, the service was lacking: delays in bringing basic items like bread and drinks, and we even had to fetch our own napkins and toothpicks. The bill presented to us was significantly inflated, charging extra for items like bread and including an unjustified service charge. The owner was unapologetic and dismissive when we questioned the discrepancies, suggesting a lack of concern for customer satisfaction. If you're seeking a pleasant dining experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere, as the aggressive attitude from management and poor service significantly marred our visit.
Dear Goda London Management,
Firstly, I appreciate the opportunity to express our dissatisfaction with the quality of your service and food. However, your response contains numerous inaccuracies and unfortunately highlights your lack of commitment to customer satisfaction.
Payment Claim: Despite your claim, we did transfer the entire amount except for the service fee. The statement that we did not pay the bill is completely false.
Misleading Information: Your response mentions that you provided 14 baskets of bread, which is untrue. Additionally, the roast lamb we ordered had a red color, indicating that it was undercooked. Cooked lamb should not be red. Moreover, the claim that the lamb weighed 11.8 kilograms is also clearly inaccurate.
Disrespectful Attitude: Instead of addressing our concerns constructively, you tore up the bill and walked away from us, saying, "I don't want to see you here." Such behavior towards a customer is unacceptable. Admitting your mistakes and apologizing would have been the appropriate course of action, rather than resorting to a response filled with falsehoods.
I will be sharing this negative experience and the disrespectful treatment we encountered with everyone through my Google review. I hope that you refrain from treating other customers in the same manner and take steps towards achieving genuine customer satisfaction.

Read moreWe attended Goda on Saturday 22nd June as it was recommended to us by some friends. Initially we tried to book a table but were told they only take bookings for the whole lamb, so we decided to attend earlier than we wanted just in case there was a queue.
We ordered 2 Tarama for starters which we repeated three times to the waitress. When they arrived, they also brought houmous which we didn't order and had to send it back. Within 5 minutes they brought it out again, where we sent it back again.
As there was 3 of us, we ordered the grandad platter and a tomahawk steak (stated it was enough for 2 people on the menu). We waited 45 minutes and when we questioned it, we were told it took time to cook it and would be out in 5 minutes. After another 15 minutes they brought out the tomahawk steak only. When we asked where the platter was, they looked confused and didn't realise we ordered one.
The tomahawk steak was quite small and the meat was less than a T-bone steak. Needless to say, it wasn't enough for 2 people and one of us could easily finish it. There was a small salad garnish and one potato to accommodate the steak. At this point we asked to cancel the platter as we were going to go elsewhere but the owner came over and gave it to us on the house. As such we felt slightly happy and decided to stay. The meat within the platter was very tender but not enough to feed 3 people.
When the bill came, we were charged for 2 houmous which we didn't order, so asked for the bill to be corrected. The food itself was overpriced for what it was and same for the drinks.
Overall, we were not satisfied with the food at Goda. For the hype of the recommendations of what we saw on Instagram, it was a big let down. The steak itself lacked flavour and was very dry. The owner was very apologetic and nice which is why I gave 2 stars but the rest of the staff seemed to lack experience.
I unfortunately would have to say, that I personally wouldn't be recommending the restaurant or looking to...
Read more7 of us went for the whole lamb experience. The lamb was honestly very nice however to many other issues here. They are charging top money for this experience and it was not good. The shop is almost a cafe concept inside hardly anything wow. We ordered starters £7 for dips… beetroot and feta tiny tiny portion £7,90 awful. A friend ordered some jacket potatoes done on the charcoal, nice, £23 for 3 potatoes. The lamb was a fixed price, on the bill an extra £120 for the extra 3kg on the whole lamb. That is open to all sorts of suspicions when did we weigh it. When did they tell us how much it weighed. We had 5 Efes beers we ordered a few more and they were hotter than room temperature. NO MORE cold EFES beers at 8pm, if your going to charge too dollar then the service needs to be faultless. At the end 7 of s 834£ not even a drink on the house. I even said to the waiter we paid 834 any chance of a drink on the house. Yes my friend……. We are still waiting. Be warned don’t go for the whole lamb less then 10 handed or it’s far too expensive. It’s in the middle of Finchley and unless matey boy sorts out the extortionate prices the novelty will wear off. Locals won’t come back and last time I looked Finchley wasn’t a tourist hotspot. Average at best....
