Left a star review of 4 stars in my humble opinion was or is not bad. Never made any comments good or bad I just never made any for the simple reason I never do about anywhere regardless of good or bad. I love this pub and have done since moved to the area. Everyone can or will complain given the opportunity, in my humble opinion if anyone disliked a place that much they would never return. I gave a a 4 star rating which really in my humble opinion is not short of "ideal or perfect or exceeded expectations" I have totally no complaints at all about this pub I love it. I've seen it change so much in the short 12 years I've been using it some good some not so good but overall myself personally no fault. I appreciate that comments and ratings are responded to speedily (I personally am not worried it's a thing that pops up on Google and i answer/respond honestly) but I can honestly say there is no reason specifically why I did not give 5 stars. I would kindly and politely ask why others who have given 4 stars (with or without leaving a comment) have not been left the same message or been addressed in the same way as I have been. I never complained I never gave a poor rating I apologise I never gave 5 stars I have no complaints and cant and wont fault staff. There is nothing you can improve off the top of my head to make me give you 5 stars I do not think 4 stars is bad

The quintessential Pub for local residents, with well spaced out seating: a high chairs area for the regulars and many seating options for all others (tables can be reserved for dining). Caters well for Live Sports Events with 2 large Projectors and an additional 4 (Four) large TV screens with a sound system to match. Two slot machines, a darts board and pool table; along with hand pulled draft beer from the local brewery, completes all the essentials for a typical London suburbs pub. Clientele predominantly from the surrounding posh housing areas of North Ealing and West Acton (Hangar Hill Estate, a verdant area built exclusively in the Mock Tudor style, which is very popular with London's Japanese community with proximity of London's main Japanese school). The Greystoke conveniently has its own parking lot and a spacious outdoor seating/smoking area. Only let down by the quality of the food served which is standard local brewery selection of frozen meals. Also, guest toilets could do with being modernised.

£2 parking fee for 3 hours, however, this is refunded when placing your order, we parked on the road as it was a Sunday and there was no restriction. fish and chips was enjoyable, hunter's chicken was delicious apart from the coleslaw - mayonnaise was watery, overly sour and smelt odd. that's not the worst part though. we arrived for our booked appointment, went to the QR point to check-in, staff looked at us, didn't say anything. one lady (appears to be the team leader) approached us, we thought we will be welcomed, she said "excuse me", we gave way, she went to clear a table at the outside seating. she walked back in, looked at us, didn't say anything, at this point I approached her to say we have booked a table, she told us to sit anywhere we like, and we did. we ordered via the app, got our food delivered, nobody checked if everything was fine with the food, we finished the meal, we left ... and will NEVER come back, nor word of mouth.

Lunch was delicious, served in a friendly and timely manner. This pub now has a reputation of excellence which is gaining momentum in the neighbourhood. Jake and his family are very well liked and have turned this place around. It is warm, friendly and welcoming, professional and inviting. It seems to us that it is extremely well-run and Jake takes an interest in the local community; always asking about our church and activities and he has invited our choir to sing carols in December. Previous to Jake taking over, we had stopped visiting this pub so much, due to the quality of both the food and drinks, as well as the atmosphere and, at times, lack of friendliness from staff. It got slightly better with the temporary manager but we are delighted to use the pub again now. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and I totally believe that comes from having a great manager and his work ethic has certainly rubbed off on the staff. In all honesty, I truly believe that the whole team are an absolute credit to Greene King and they all deserve to be acknowledged for turning the...
