The Haven Arms — Restaurant in London

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Haven Arms for the first time this year which now specialises in Thai cuisine, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt at home thanks to the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The cleanliness of the pub was also impressive, which added to the overall experience.

To start, I ordered the mixed starters, which included a variety of Thai appetisers. The flavours were incredible and each dish was perfectly cooked. The crispy spring rolls and savory chicken satay were outstanding.

To accompany my meal, I ordered several pints of Guinness and later switched to cider. The drinks were served cold and refreshing, and were the perfect complement to the spicy flavors of the Thai food.

The standout of the meal was definitely the Thai Green Curry. The curry was rich and flavourful, and perfectly cooked. The variety of spices and seasonings made the dish unique and delicious and had just the right amount of heat.

Despite the high quality of the food and drink, the prices were very reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable everything was, especially considering the outstanding quality.

What really made my visit memorable, though, was the friendly and attentive service I received from John, the owner. He made sure I was comfortable throughout my visit and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience.

While there was a slightly odd occurrence during my visit with an Irish gentleman called Dave kissing and cuddling fluffy white dog at the bar it didn’t detract from the overall positive experience I had at the Haven Arms pub.

Overall, I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious food, great drinks, and friendly service in a cozy atmosphere. And who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and snag a seat in the VIP corner like I did.

Fantastic lunch here - really friendly and helpful service from the bar staff and the food is delicious. I can highly recommend the Halloumi Fries and the roast is superb.

Feels just like a local pub should - easy to book (none of the online booking systems that so many pubs have these days) and warm environment.

Also they have good CoVID protocol here making sure everyone kept to tables of 6 without it being stressful - they have hand gel on entry, all the tables are well spaced out and there is lots of fresh air from their pub garden at the back so we felt very safe.

10/10 will definitely come...

Over 4 years ago, I had a very unpleasant experience at this pub. But I’ve moved on and the staff had made efforts to ensure they take care of their customers. I’ve been coming to this pub for a while now, after abandoning the one next door following their refurb -which looks very cheaply done- The Haven Arms has always been welcoming, clean and the staff friendly and service oriented. The beer garden is decent and offers enough space for large parties with roofs over heads for those rainy London days. Bella is the star at this show and it wouldn’t be the Haven Arms...
