The food was lovely and piping hot 🤗 and a very fast service in 10 mins, they take both cash and card.

I'd been given this recommendation by a stranger in another streatham favourite Gourmet China takeaway when we were both queuing and waxing lyrical about the forementioned food and what other chinese in the area were quality.

It took a few months to figure out which restaurant it was because he gave directions and not the name, and I had to try a couple of other Chinese takeaways, which were subject par, to say the least.

I ordered Singapore rice and barbecue ribs and was pleasantly surprised at the double pairing of meaty ribs, my only gripe was the tasty rice was a normal sized portion in the plastic container and not in a large foil one, and they don't serve roast duck and rice or capital or peking ribs, although the barbecue ribs can pass...

I ordered food from hap lee today for the first time as my usual Chinese was closed. The food arrived on my doorstep less than half an hour from calling which is unheard-of. The food was not nice, it was Luke warm, some of it was dry and chewy, the sources were cold, one of the sources so thick in oil it couldn't be eaten, there was no duck in the duck chow mein and all three of us could not eat it. I phoned them to give them a chance to rectify it in some way but they just told me that nobody else has ever complained. I said I wasn't interested in other peoples experience only mine. They never offered me any kind of compensation. So I spent over £30 on a meal that none of us could eat so had to go and get something else and pay for that as well. I would never order from this...

In short, despite years of patronage we have to warn others phoning in to book or to order, that the level of customer service is woefully bad... after several orders through 2016 arriving with incorrect contents, we stopped using them, but recanted in the new year... we rang to order and once again it arrived with wrong items and what looked like yesterdays rice. The attitude I got from a young man identifying himself to be the manager, was staggering... clearly I was in the wrong and he didn't like MY attitude... then he hung up. Long story short, we're done with them... they may have a delicious menu but it would choke me if I have to suffer rudeness in order to...
