Hooky Street Coffee — Restaurant in London

Just went with a friend for a coffee and hour or so before they closed for the day. Had some upsetting news and needed time-out with a friend at our lovely local café and in familiar surroundings. We sat indoors on a twin table but one of the table's was dirty with Crumb's and Tea/Coffee rings and most definitely needed a wipe prior to customer's sitting down at it. Considering there were two staff member's on duty (and behind the counter )'&' Emma was also in and out (but off duty,) I'd of thought they'd of been working and seeing these error's themselves. I know I could've asked for it to of been cleaned, but I shouldn't have to point out the obvious, and I was in a sombre mood anyway, so striking up a conversation with staff I didn't know very well 'was' the last thing on my mind. This isn't me writing a complaint, because I'm a regular customer. But when I write a review ... It's an honest one either way and in every detail! There were only two other customers in the restaurant at that time, and so it was quiet. I grabbed a second hot drink before leaving and they kindly put it into a takeaway cup for me. I also took away a large moist juicy delicious Muffin also, - (purely for medicinal purposes, to lift my low mood.) 😳

A nice and comfortable place to relax and enjoy both the ambiance and atmosphere of this cafés surroundings. The garden area has comfy seat's both under cover and in the open. There's a ice-cream kiosk outside in the garden with many yummy flavours to choose from, (imported from Italy.) My favourite would have to be the Mint Choc chip. 🍨🍦 The staff here at Hooky Street are the most helpful and charming staff, and always helpful and service with a smile. Alcohol is also available, and Friday & Saturday night they have a BOGOF deal on cocktails and the cafe is open until 20:00hrs on these two day's too. 17:00hrs close on all other week day's. The cafe is decorated in the "Only Fool's And Horse's" theme, and the atmosphere is relaxed. There are plenty of chair's inside and out and smoking in the garden is also allowed, -(Just ask for the ashtrays.) Pastries and baguette filled rolls can be purchased and heated or eaten cold, and Many tea's, coffees and soft drinks are also available. This company also donate half their earnings (after their expenses) to local charities too.

Fab place Loved the vibe Clearly used often by the locals If the local use it is often a great sign The youngsters engaged with me which was refressing As paid fundraisers for Guide dogs for the blind we are in diferent areas in and around London on a weekly basis We always stop for a break so I guess it was written in the stars I WILL be back before Chirstmas so say hi to the guys As my favourite music legend would sing that does impress me much Wow...
