We only ordered from here because we honestly wanted it to be great and to support a local business. But after being scr*wed for £33.30 had to review. Just picked up a collection and this is the worst japanese I've ever eaten. Bulgogi don (see picture) was revolting. Looked revolting, tasted revolting. Plain rice, thin strips of dodgy beef, no hint of moisture and a thin layer of egg that could honestly have come out of an alien's backside. Unagi don was OK, but small. King prawn tempura would have made a chip shop sad..... Basic batter (not tempura), so oil sodden that it literally dripped off our fingers. Insult to injury, the oil was old and full of other tastes. They weren't busy, it was a Tuesday night at 7.15 and I'd avoid this like the plague.

Just found out Osaka is now new management they are called Megumi Sushi. My kids love sushi so our family went to have lunch today. Very cozy atmosphere, staffs were welcoming. We ordered Spicy Edamame with kimchi butter which was great taste!! Squid & Chicken karaage also great taste, the dipping sauce was very nice taste indeed. Also had megumi set and wagyu sukiyaki udon they both taste great. My kids loved it. The menu first looks quite similar to others but if you see their details something is very different from other places. We were told the chef has more than 30 years experience that could be the reason why something is special with the menu. We will definitely come back again~ great family lunch out ! next time we will try dinner too !!

A Hidden Gem That Truly Delivers! We’d walked past Megumi a few times, and it had always been on our list of places to try—especially since I'm from London and was curious to see how it would compare. Safe to say, it absolutely did not disappoint. The fish was some of the freshest I’ve had in a long time, and the sashimi was simply superb. We also tried the 8-piece Red Eye sushi rolls, which were incredibly unique and packed with flavour—definitely a standout dish! The staff were warm, welcoming, and gave us some fantastic recommendations that really elevated the experience. We’ll certainly be coming back without a doubt. Highly recommend Megumi if you're looking for quality sushi and exceptional service.

Really disappointed. Ordered food for 4 people but mine didn't arrive. I waited 10 minutes then asked where my food was. Told kitchen was closed (no sorry nor alternative offered). Bill came; the food which didn't appear had appeared on the bill. When I told the waitress I was not paying for the food that had not appeared she appeared confused. Still no apology. Tried to pay with AMEX and was told they don't accept it; odd considering it's on AMEX's shop small promotion. 3 weeks ago I gave it a gleaming 5 star review. This experience left me feeling hungry and disappointed. Not sure what exactly happened as we were one of two tables being occupied; hence edited downgraded review to one star. Thank god Tescos was open to satisfy my hunger. Really disappointed. If @Osaka wish to investigate we came in on 3rd Dec...
