itsu - Kensington High Street — Restaurant in London

I ordered chicken noodle eat in today but then just found that it was just like a cheap cup noddle...asian staff told me it was the same eat in or takeaway.

The portion of noodle is too small - just 2 mouths, then finished.

besides, the noodle quality is just too bad

some chicken meat, a few peas and 2 mouths noodle mixed with cheap soup. that's super cheap. that's it.

I then checked that the restaurant is not a japanese-run restaurant but by a local British food businessman...founder of Pret a Manger? I'm not sure

if the food quality is not so bad, I would not check but the super cheap and low quality urged me to check... why there are still so many people... maybe why people taste standards so low ? or just crowd sheep effect ? staff are not polite, seats are not comfortable... 🥹 The above just my personal feelings...

Firstly the store has limited options to order. Then you can only pay at the self checkouts, which I didn’t know at the moment, so I went to the counter. The team member I met could have just said “we have self checkouts, you can process your payment there”, but instead took my things without saying anything. She started walking towards the self checkouts, so I said “ok, if payment is with the self check out I can manage, thanks”. She did not listen. She kept my food instead of giving it to me and asked “eat in or take away”, “eat in, but it’s fine, I can manage from here”, “ok, this is what you need to do…”, I said for a THIRD TIME “it’s fine, I can manage from here”, now visibly upset, but she kept going… it felt incredibly patronising. If that is the usual treatment to customers I am never returning...

I had the most delightful experience at Itsu Kensington, and I must say Sylvester and Sana truly made it exceptional! Their warm hospitality and attention to detail added so much to my visit. I decided to try the coconut creamy soup, and it was absolutely fantastic – rich, flavorful, and perfectly comforting. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, and everything felt well-organized and clean. I left feeling not only satisfied but genuinely uplifted by the wonderful service. I highly recommend Itsu Kensington for a delicious and memorable...
