Went with 2 Foodie friends early August for dinner. Booking a table was some what over complicated. If you still have to wait an hour before the main meal arrives - there is no point in paying a deposit in advance. As pleasant as the waitress was, she could have saved time by simply stating what automatically comes with a main dish.
Now for the food & drink. Saltfish fritters: steamy hot which was good, but lacked any sign of saltfish or seasoning. I guess that's why it was served with sweet chilli sauce. We all had steamed Seabass for our main course. How can steam fish be served with next to no fish gravy from the steam is a mystery! Again, though it came with the usual steam veg, it seriously lacked flavour. Cocktails were way too sweet and you're better off ordering separate Wray & Nephew and walking with a quality juice of your choice, and make your own. Really wanted this first trip post lock-down to be good, but it was disappointing. It's fine if you're catering to an Anglo clientele, in that it's edible but bland. So, for flavour in the vicinity (though minus dining in), get a takeaway from D&D up the road. Now they do yard style SEASONED food. So sorry...
Read moreIf i could put 0 stars I would. You would have thought you was in hell’s kitchen. This one’s going out to Gordon ramsey go and help them if you can asap! This all can eat buffet (on a stop clock of 1 hour to eat ur food) but the clocks running and there no food available to eat???? I’ve heard of jerk chicken I’ve heard of stew and curry, roast etc but never Charcoal Chicken. The chicken was brought freshly out the kitchen colder than the freezer and then a member of staff had the cheek to ask to put it in the microwave? If anyone has heard of such a thing in a jamaican restaurant let me know. All the appliances to grab your food in was mixed up with different dishes. And after all of this half of the party hadn’t even have eaten there food yet. Not even a drink to wash down anything which we had ordered prior. By time the all u can eats was down ur stomach ur still waiting for ur sides to come. Wanted to leave and then restaurant threatened to call the police . I don’t know how the rent is being paied for in this...

My enjoyment of the cracking lunch I just ate at Junction876 was seriously diminished by the fact I was charged more than 50% of what I had been told it would initially cost me!
I asked the waitress how much the stewed pork was & she replied £9.50. £10.00 is my budget for lunch so all good. I went to sit down outside, & she said 'i thought you were getting takeaway' & I replied 'no, I'll have it here'.
Now, that would have been the time to let me know the price was different if eating in. Had I known it was even a penny more, I would have got it as a takeway.
I went to pay afterwards with my tenner & she said it was £15.00!
How can you charge me an extra £5.50 for eating at the restaurant?
£5.50 extra!!!!!!!
I have never come across anything like that before. That kind of increase, well any kind of increase needs to be mentioned.
It seriously took the gloss off what would have otherwise been a...
