I am so disappointed with my order. With the review they had I didn’t expect what I received. First of all arrived later than the latest estimated arrival by 20min. But the pizza was frozen cold (i can excuse delay if the food is hot, but if it was sitting around cooling down it’s not okay by me), also not luke warm but suuuuper cold, solid cheese, actually cold tomatoes sauce. And it was squished in the corner of the box looking miserable and really not appetising. It was pathetic looking if I’m being honest I am not sure what happened tonight but it was definitely not worth the price. I’d put one star but it seems to be a mistake (or I’d like to think it was one) so it’s not worth tanking your google rating but this is something to take in consideration for the restaurant. Also olives in a coffee cup? I’m being picky here but with the rest of the order and all the issues- it just looked...
Read moreLovely authentic Italian. Food was delicious!! Finding a decent pizza isn’t tough in SE23 (Bona, Mamma Doughs and Chandos to name a few) but this rivals all we’ve tried, thin soft sourdough and lovely fresh great tasting toppings. We had the meat balls and tagliatelle with sausage and truffle. The meatballs were soft and full of flavour served with a delicious tomato sauce, the pasta was obviously cooked fresh and tasted great with a good ratio of pasta, meat and mushrooms. Menu is a good size with some lovely specials which are on a board. One slight criticism is the board is in the centre of the restaurant and depending on where you’re sitting is quite hard to read, putting another one up on the opposite wall would definitely solve that issue. The staff were really attentive and friendly and service was great. We will definitely be...
Read moreThe pizza reigns supreme in this cozy little pizzeria. The last one I tried—from the specials board—was a real standout: mortadella and pesto. Who knew a white pizza could be that good? They also serve one of my all-time favourites: tomato, fior di latte, scamorza, spianata salami, and caramelized onion. Truly delicious, and easily among the best I’ve had in London.
That said, there’s one thing I’d happily change: the music. I’m honestly tired of being held hostage to 90 minutes of Pino Daniele—a near-inevitable soundtrack in every Campanian-run pizzeria. It’s ghastly, and their music selection has actually become something of a deterrent. I’ve now reached the point where I’d almost rather eat at Pizza Express, just to avoid that man’s dirge-like voice....
