Goodness me, no! No, no, no, no, NO! It's too late for me, but save yourselves!!
My head said no, my heart said yes. I should've listened to my head... You know, it's funny how these places make you pay for food before you even see it.
Now, had I had seen my food before I'd paid, I wouldn't have accepted it, and they'd have to change it. Why do we put up with this strange policy in these fast food places? Even cafés don't do that... anyway, I digress.
This review centres on a recent experience, as a drive through customer.
Firstly, if you're driving past this particular KFC, my advice is to keep on driving - do not be tempted to stop.
With only three cars in front, and, unfortunately for me, two behind (removing the retreat option), the unusual service strategy of this particular KFC condemned me to long 20 minute wait - just to give my order; it would be another 20 minutes before I'd eventually pick up my food.
Why?
This restaurant serves: customers who randomly walk to the shop, folk who have ordered from the internet and drive-through customers - all from the same window. Other, nearby, KFCs prioritise drivers' orders at the drive through window (I guess the clue is in the title). I visited the shop at around 22:30, at which point there were just two servers on duty.
Even worse, the food seems to be bagged as you order it, and then put aside until you reach the window, so my chicken was uncommonly oily by the time I got it, and the chicken wings I ordered were terrible - I mean, the worst you've ever seen... ever!; I swear one of them was just 'bone and batter' - no meat, I had to throw it away.
As there are vastly superior KFCs nearby, with more than 2 members of staff on duty, even at night, in the future, I will use them, or...

When it came to placing my order there was just complete chaos over the speaker, men in the background shouting, the person taking my order shouting back, could've mistaken it for an underground fight club. After giving my order and waiting an additional 10 minutes I pulled up to the next window, the staff handed me my food and promptly slammed the window shut without giving my drinks, I waited a while but no one came back. I pulled forward and parked my car to help the people behind receive their chciken. I gave a quick check over of my food and realised they had even forgotten something with that aswell, I returned to one of the drive through windows (The store was only open to drive through) and got the attention of a member of staff and explained the situation, they seemed to understand and rectified the situation quickly enough. When asked if they had any sauces they said they didn't have any, while at the same time another customer asked for some sauces which they provided, when challenged on why they had lied they could only stammer and then sheepishly hand over some sauces, why they lied I have no idea. After returning to my car I started to dig into my meal hoping my problems were over, they weren't, the chicken they had provided was what I can only describe as just coming out the ring with Mike Tyson, heavily discoloured and just looking all round disgusting. Read moreBe careful, I’m 99% sure they are running a scam here. After I made a contactless payment, I noticed the lady serving me was acting shifty, pressing a lot of buttons and looking perplexed. A few moments later she told me the payment has not gone through, and tried to make me pay again. After I insisted for 5 minutes the money left my account even showing her my bank app she called a male manager. I showed him my account transaction and he said it was pending and that it didn’t go through. The gaslighting was ridiculous, he told me that the payment would eventually be reversed. I have never experienced this before, and if it didn’t go through truly, the reverse would reflect immediately in my account. He then tried to make me feel bad by saying he would pay the money himself, I almost handed him the cash but still had some reservations. When they gave me the receipt it was a cash payment that was shown on the receipt This is despite me paying with card and it was issued at the exact time I made the original payment over five minutes prior to this point which does not tally at all.
