Greetings for the day. I'm 50yrs originally from East ham. Recently i moved to Plaistow. Very near to KOHINOOR restaurant. I have visited the restaurant about 11 times... very happy with the Quality of the food... And the service provided by the gentlemen called Oman... And always I have paid them with Visa card.... From the day one i told Oman and his father (owner) that i will only be able to pay by visa debit card. Because Newham council has controlled over our finance. Due to my health issues. and personal circumstances. The manager Oman has told me from the first day that they will take my payment with Visa card. because I explained my reason and he understood. also, he has confirmed this with his father the owner of this Kohinoor restaurant. That they will always accept my payment with a bank visa card.. but unfortunately the female staff who claim to be managers of the restaurant. She told me that The Takeaway service policy does not accept any bank card payment on collection.. at that moment, I asked her give me a valid reason for not accepting it Bank Visa card payment. Also Why is it two different separate policy for eating in and for collection peoples ? she couldn’t give me a satisfied answer. She only said it was set by the MANAGEMENT'S. That’s the policy. And she walked off to the next Customer. Found that very DISRESPECTFUL towards me and her father-in-law, who is the owner of the restaurant because it was confirmed from him that they will accept my payment with the card. she did not even listen to her own father-in-law how disrespectfully she IS. anyway, because I used to own a business myself, therefore I know if you don’t show all your invoices to the accountant, then you can avoid paying tax and bank charges for the CARDS PAYMENTS. it’s a shame lot of people now these days they are doing this to make more profit for themselves basically it’s like a scamming customers.
Surely anyone can clearly see that what is actually going behind the clothes door it doesn’t take a genius to work that out. Climbs to be managers, SHE'S very rude and unrespectable person. no respect for the customers. sorry to say this any time she’s in the restaurant she would NOT accept my payment with a BANK card. BUT WITH MR OMAN or respectful gentleman owner of the restaurant (Oman's father) will be different without any questions they accept my payments with a card. unfortunately this is not acceptable to the Society. there are many rules we need to follow and respect the law. Surely can't say the same for her.. I think we shouldn’t support this type of business and try to avoid them as much as possible and I strongly advise people not to visit their restaurant.. Basically, they’re not paying the tax to the government and this is not fair To the public... I will also be sharing this post to othersocial medias. So that people like them will not try to treat vulnerable people disrespectfully.. Many thanks for reading my post. And I hope no one else's Has to go through what i had to gone through.... thanks.
firstly, my friend get my name correct it’s not what you saying okay. secondly you are wrong you know that. anyway Also, I’m getting Great to respond from other social MEDIAS... I will be updating you soon... you have admitted that you have served me for the 11th time. therefore I would like to know, if you have serve me for the 11th time. Why wouldn’t you accept my payment 12th time with bank visa card ? that clearly shows there’s something going on.... I would like to ask the general public to phone them and ask them why do they have two different policies for dining in and Takeaway customers.... many...
Read moreWent out to have a nice Friday night dinner as wanted to check out the new place recently open.
What an awful experience!
The staff discriminated against me and my husband.
Any white or black families or couples that came in got served immediately with a tray full of complimentary salad and sauces and fresh bread.
We on the other hand didn’t get any and kept getting looks from the staff.
When my food did eventually arrive it was ok and I ate it.
My husbad had a to wait a further 15 minutes for his food as the waitress got the order wrong and only told the chef it was one Wrap.
I understand the Turkish language to a degree so could hear the argument which you shouldn’t do in front of customers anyway.
When I asked for the bill. The waitress said the card machine does not work but I explained I just saw her use the card machine with other customers just now?
She said oops it’s not working now.
Anyway, my husband withdrew cash from the cash point outside the restaurant which the waitress kept pointing to, and I said yes I am aware there is a cash point outside lol!
They really couldn’t wait to get us out of the building.
I explained to the owner that we didn’t receive any complimentary bread salad etc and others that walked through the door got it put on the table straight away and why is that?
He raised his voice to me and said you ordered a wrap and it has salad in it and comes with bread.
I said that’s not the point, how do you know we were not going to order anything else? Also, how could you know what other customers were going to order as even before they ordered their table was filled with a tray of complimentary starters?!
He started getting even more aggressive and shoved a plate of desert in my face and I asked him to remove it please as I have a dairy allergy.
I was shocked by this and my husband at that point was going to deck him but we walked away from the situation.
He had no right to get aggressive and raise his voice at me and then shoving someone else’s prepared dessert in my face, I mean how dare he!
The waitress apologised for his behaviour and i was told he was the owner / partner and she didn’t realise we are were not served correctly and provided with complimentary dishes when we came in.
Whatever!! we were sat right in front of the counter so you couldn’t exactly miss us , you just chose to ignore us.
I must say, knowing this guy is a partner/ owner of the restaurant even shocked me more as I have worked in customer care, management and health & safety for over 20 years and have never come across this type of behaviour from a restaurant owner.
Clearly we were not welcome in this restaurant and will obviously never be stepping foot in the place again.
Just be careful guys as I think if you’re Muslim you will be discriminated against.
Overall our evening was ruined and we didn’t deserve to be treated this way.
Hope you close...
