We live in the area and La Petite Boulangerie Jade is our absolute favourite french patisserie for a number of reasons. We love the products, but the thing that makes it so special for us and in our view sets it apart by far from any neighbouring competition is the staff who work at the location. Everytime we have entered, the atmosphere is friendly, welcoming, positive, enthusiastic, polite and inquisitive. Darrius really stands out - he exudes all of the above in abundance and combines this with the utmost professionalism at all times. The quality of the croissants has been very varied recently, with the majority of them poor. A croissant should be well-baked and flaky on the outside, with only the very middle being soft. Eight out of ten that I’ve bought in the last 2 months have been all soft and a bit cardboardy. There were a few weeks, I think in May/June, when they were perfect.
