Just checked out Lahore Spice in Kingsbury after hearing some good things about it from a few people, so hereās how my experience went...
I ordered the lamb kebabs, specifically asked for them not to be overcooked. They came out on a sizzling platter (shouldāve remembered to say no sizzler), but they were solidānice and chunky, juicy, and flavorful.
But hereās where things took a turn:
When the kebabs arrived, I had to ask twice for the sauce. A table next to me in which I was asked to shuffle to make space for them got sauces before they even ordered the food. At the same time, I had to ask a total of four times for my can of Coke. Anyone who knows me knows I canāt stand not having my drink with my food. For the main course, I went with the karahi lamb on the bone, asking for it to be nice, authentic and spicy. But as soon as it arrived, it was swimming in oil, with a yellowish hue. Right then, I knew it wasnāt going to be a good experience. I gave it a taste, and it was flavourless and not spicy at all, you could even taste the oil. I was so disappointed that I left half of it and didnāt even bother taking the leftovers to go. One good point I will say the lamb on the bone came with a good mix of cuts of meat which was soft inc some front chops. After the meal, I spoke to the waitress, mentioning that the dish lacked spice and lacked flavor. Instead of an apology, she just pointed to her notes and said, "Look, I wrote spicy," then handed me the bill without a care. I get that places can have off days, but the combination of poor service, lack of flavour and the waitress's attitude was frustrating. I don't expect great service at these type of places but having to repeatedly ask for the basics ie sauce and drink, coupled with the lack of acknowledgment or apology about the main course, really left a bad taste in my mouth.
Overall, I wouldnāt go back esp when they didn't really give a ...... In my opinion of that type of standard, places like Karahi King Wembley and Mr Chillis are better overall in terms of taste and service.
You win some you lose some ...... I know not everyone will agree but only saying this from my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been a regular customer of this restaurant for years and have always enjoyed the consistently delicious food. However, during my recent visit, I had a disappointing experience with the service.
The lady who served our table was quite rude when I inquired about the rice we had requested. Instead of checking, she simply responded, āYou get what you ordered,ā even though we had specifically mentioned our preference. Later, she placed the plate on a nearby table without properly serving it to us, which felt dismissive and disrespectful.
I understand that she may be young or still in training, but basic courtesy and respect towards customers are essential, especially for returning guests. I hope the management can provide the necessary guidance to ensure a more professional and welcoming service experience in the future.
Again, compliments to the kitchenāthe food was as...

The food was absolutely delicious, capturing authentic flavors that felt true to their origins. I highly recommend trying their lamb chops and lamb on the boneāthese dishes are a must! If youāre planning to visit, Iād suggest focusing on the lamb dishes over the chicken.
