If I could give this place more stars I would. The food is exceptional. The ambience is amazing and the staff are a dream. They brine and make their salt beef from scratch. All of the cakes on the counter are homemade as well as anything on the menu that can be homemade, is homemade!! They cater for GF, DF, vegan, veggie, halal and more. This blew my mind when I went with the group I did as some of them had dietary requirements and the staff were super attentive when taking orders. You have builders in there, families, diners on their own and people of all ages. If’s rare to see a place like this nowadays that caters to all and it’s so wonderful that there’s such a mix of people. When they’re busy you can expect to wait a little longer for food but in truth, it’s so worth it because they cook everything from scratch and I cannot begin to imagine how intense that may be in a kitchen when you have 50+ orders! In the week I’d say it’s quieter so you do get your food more quickly. Either way, they have clear communication from the beginning and big smiles on their faces. What an exceptional little gem of a cafe Limes is! If you haven’t tried it yet, this is...

Hadn't been to this cafe for some years (no reason) but went last Sunday. They source their coffee from a local supplier and both myself and wife thought it was really nice, not bitter like some.Could easily have drunk 3 cups ! My wife had the Greek breakfast (halloumi, olives, greek ham and sausage etc) - very tasty and what you would say are proper smoked ingredients. Big thumbs up. I opted for the full english, didnt fancy hash browns and asked if i could swop for chips..no problems he said. I asked for well done bacon and mushrooms and that's how they were served...well done to the owner for writing it down and the chef for cooking it ! The waitresses were pleasant and attentive and not overbearing. All in all just shy of £30...but, you pay for what you get in life. We'd definately go back....and soon ! If the owner gave away a free pair of bigger jeans with every breakfast every time i went, I'd be there...

I recently visited Limes Cafe and was greeted promptly upon arrival, which started the experience on a positive note. I ordered the Lime Loaded Breakfast and a cappuccino. The cafe was full and busy, which is understandable given its popularity, but the overall experience was disappointing.

It took more than 30 minutes for the breakfast to arrive, and by that time, my coffee had gone cold, making it hard to fully enjoy the meal. The bacon was overly salty, and the toast was brought out well before the main dish, meaning it had gone cold by the time I got to eat it.

While the staff was friendly, the service felt average and could use improvement. It would have been helpful if the team had been more attentive and kept me informed about the delay. Overall, the potential for a great experience is there, but the service and timing need to be better coordinated to ensure guests can enjoy their meals...

Brunch at @limescafelondon is one you need to add to your lists! 🥞🍓😍 The menu was 10/10- heard good things about the amazing “Easy American” pancake dish so I went for that - omg it didn’t disappoint !!! 🤩🤩🤩 Family friendly, very good prices, alfresco options too ! I love a good quality café and I’ll be heading back to this one ASAP!!! Winchmore Hill, Enfield 📍 @limescafelondon

Tucked away in the heart of Winchmore Hill, Limes Café is an absolute gem. I popped in for a quick brunch and ended up discovering my new favourite local spot. The flat white was spot on—smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. But the real star was the smashed avocado on sourdough with poached eggs, feta, confit tomatoes, and crispy bacon. The eggs were perfection—that elusive jammy, gooey centre with fully set whites. It’s a small detail, but it shows real skill in the kitchen, and they absolutely nailed it. The combination of creamy avo, salty feta, sweet burst-from-the-vine tomatoes, and smoky bacon on hearty sourdough was just heavenly. Every bite was fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and bursting with flavour. Service was warm and welcoming, and the whole place has that lovely neighbourhood café feel that makes you want to linger just a little longer. Can’t wait to come back—this place is the real deal.

Second visit to eat in and arrived at a perfect time to be seated for brunch at 10.30am. My only issue was so many delicious dishes I wanted to try. (Excuse to keep coming back I guess). The waiting staff tended to us immediately with drinks orders and after a lot of deliberating, my guest and I opted for the American Pancakes, marginally pipped to the post by Eggs Benedict or the Omelette. Our Brunch arrived as after taking the obligatory 'Gram shot we tucked in. I ate every morsel apart from the strawberry stalk and don't think I ate much more for the rest of the day. I look forward to sampling a different dish very soon.
