London Cakes & Bakes — Restaurant in London

This review is from the 2021 Order, but her black forest is still the best cake I have ever tried in the entire UK, yes I tried a lot of cakes! I just remember because it is almost November, I wonder if I can order to Leeds this time?? :)

Black Forest Cake - year 2021, November :

The cake is indeed not too sweet and perfect in combination with cherry, vanilla cream and chocolate mousse.

On my perspective the vanilla icing was a bit too much for me, and I noticed you also give an extra layer of chocolate mousse which I enjoyed very much but it still overpowered the main star, the very tasty sponge cake. In general, I would love to order the cake again, but I will ask half the amount of creams. The sponge cakes was very very very delicious especially when you eat it with the sourness of the cherry. I enjoyed every bite of it. On the first day, myself personally couldnt finish the creams from a slice, but after I put the cake in a fridge overnight, I could finish more of the creams. For the portion, to make it stand beautifully I only could manage to make 12 slim portions out of it.

Overall, I guess this is the best black forest I have enjoyed even from all the black forest I ever ate.

This was the best cake me and my guests have ever had! Simply amazing. Not only did it meet our expectations, it actually surpassed our expectations and is definitely worth every penny it costs. The cake looked awesome and tasted even better. If there is anything I may want to amend is possibly having the crunchy layer be thicker, but I understand it will increase the costs and it is best that prices are reasonably set to attract new customers, as for me no matter the price I will always be a customer, the cake was just that good. It served seven of us comfortably for two days.

We all loved that it seemed like it was a family run business, the customer experience is amazing and the cake looked as advertised. All the guests asked me about the cake, where I got it from and where did I find you. Will definitely purchase from here on upcoming occasions.

Cake To Absolutely Die For!!

I ordered The Strawberry Cloud Cake for my partner’s 50th Birthday for Collection. Communication between Victoria and I... was quick, clear and informative. Questions asked with regards to organising collection time and keeping the cake fresh were all answered. The cake itself was exquisitely beautiful and was undeniably the best cake I have eaten (that’s no lie!). The perfect balance of filling, light sponge and butter cream and it is not overly sweet... it was delectable! Closing note... Not only because of the convenience of being in my local vicinity, I will 100% be ordering all my Celebratory Cakes from London Cakes & Bakes in the future and will highly recommend to all my Friends & Family and to anyone who reads my review! I will happily eat Victoria’s cakes over and over again! Thank you Victoria you are truly talented and an amazing baking...
