I recently discovered this bakery in Notting Hill after coming across it by chance. The staff were very friendly and helpful with answering my questions when I popped in and so I decided to come back and make a purchase.

The young lady I spoke to before buying something was really helpful and made some recommendations if I wanted something savoury or sweet. I really appreciated it, because they had such a wide selection to choose from.

The bakery has a very wide and varied selection of bread, cakes, pastries and sandwiches and there is a display area so you can browse what they have available that day.

In the end, I went with the Pain Chocolat - Crème D'amande and I can honestly say it is one of the best pastries I have ever tasted. The combination of the chocolate and almond cream was simply divine if you like sweet things. The pastry itself was also nice and soft but still had a nice crunch.

The only disappointment is they do not have a seating area and only offer takeaway, but that is only a minor quibble and I was happy to take my pastry home to enjoy.

I will definitely be visiting Maison Puget again to try their other pastries, provided I can resist having the Pain Chocolat - Crème...

Since my daughter she’s born I use to order my daughters birthday cake at this place but will have to be the last time😩 Was just on the phone with the manager of Maison puget! I asked her if I could order a selection of French patisserie for my daughter’s birthday that’s coming in 10 days time. This same person was very rude and not helpful at all, she refused to give me or send me a variety of cake that she was doing because she was running out of time, so I politely asked her if I could ring her when it’s more quiet and arranged that another time, she said I have to come all the way to the establishment. So I explained to her that I was living all the way in east London and therefore I could not go there so I’ll be happy if she could help me over the phone. She was so unbothered and kept on saying “she was busy and couldn’t give me any best seller” so I asked if I could speak to a manager because obviously a manager would be able to tell me what Variety of cake they doing.. but she said she was the manager I was so embarrassed for her being unable to provide a simple information that I had to insist but still didn’t want to...

We visited this place as a group on March 13th, 2020. As we could say the seating area was full, we decided to decide what we wanted looking through the window as they had all their baked goods beautifully displayed. We then chose one of us to stand in line. Let me be clear when I say that she was the only one in line, even though I came to check on her every now and then because the wait took so long. There were 3+ people working on the floor, not a single one addressed us or asked if we needed any help. She waited for almost 15 minutes and I even tried to grab their attention politely so as not to disturb the customers by saying that "we want our things to take away." I should have straight up called them out or asked my sister to. Eventually we got our things. The people who joined the line as we left were greeted and served immediately. I'm sorry but I have to assume there was some prejudice involved. The same man who ignored us for those 15 minutes took care of the others immediately and I can see no difference between us apart from our appearance. Will not be...

Thank you Maison Puget. I have tried the vanilla flan and the chocolate éclair. I enjoyed both and I appreciate knowing that they are fresh and made by Maison Puget. The shop is very well organised and the displays are beautiful. I intend to try some of the sandwiches. There are more items inside so definitely have a look inside, even if what you can see from outside did not tickle your fancy. I appreciate that every day, the individual products look slightly different. On some days, the baguettes look bigger, on others, they look smaller. It’s nice to know that it is a human who produces them and there are differences between days. The staff member was professional, the experience was only positive. It was not too busy when I visited, but in a Friday and Saturday, I often see a queue. I buy myself something here very occasionally. I walk past it several times a day, and love to look at the display. £5 is the price of the pudding so it is a treat for me.
