I wouldn't usually review fast food like mcdonalds but got to a point now that thisbis the only way to help head office and this business in preventing loss of sales, my entire household order from this mcdonalds via uber eats on a regular basis, around 3 times a week, not once have this Venus been able to add a straw to any drink order or able to have chips arrive that are not cold, and by cold I don't mean slightly warm, I mean cold! This is concerning considering the destination of the order itself is only a 3minute walk away. For this reason we no longer order milkshakes as we can't drink them and we Jo longer order chips as we can't eat cold chips, so in reality every time we order a single big mac it would have been a big mac meal but we don't bother anymore. These are sales your business is losing, this has been ongoing for months and I just decided to complain here today as uber eats ignore such complaints not realising that a milkshake is useless without a utensil, if you want to instantly boost sales here then you need to enable people to upsell to themselves by providing a straw and ensuring food is to temperature when leaving the business. Our household alone has saved about £15 per order by not upgrading to meal for some time now, but this is a direct loss to mcdonalds due to the inability to provide the consistent service that some other sites are capable of. Which is why I left the job and I was also pushed out because she was making 2 false allegations about me, neither were true because she was embarrassed and looked stupid she got me forced out because of what she did to me. Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately very chaotic service. The system said my very simple order was ready to collect but it wasn't after asking 2-3 times. Then the order number disappeared from the screen information, leaving me unaware if I would even get my order.
I only ordered an apple pie and large mcflurry, which took nearly 20mins for £2.88, when normally it would be 2mins.
Usually, the apple pie is warmed up in 1 min and the mcflurry is usually 30secs. However the mcflurry machine wasn't ready / stocked and the chocolate filling was out. The till staff tried to give me a partial mcflurry in large container, despite me telling her I witnessed her colleague struggling to fill up my mcflurry order. But in fairness she did offer to make a new one, which then had the correct amount.
Going forward: A helpful suggestion is that the preparing system needs improvement. The IT machine shouldn't say orders are ready unless it is physically available to handover to the customer.
On the positive side, the manager stepped in to help and was, polite, positive and proactive taking control of the situation. The team can improve the communication amongst each other, but more importantly Mcdonald head office need investment in better IT systems. Don't just say an order is ready for collection when it isn't. I wouldn't mind waiting if it was properly communicated there was an issue with the mcflurry machine and my order wasn't ready.
I realise it is a very busy environment normally so I hope that...
