Just had multiple members of staff outright ignore me. The monopoly event runs until today, all screens inside and outside (drive through monitors) are advertising that you still get monopoly stickers when you buy certain food.
We decided to get a meal each for a last ditch effort to get some of our missing pieces.
We ordered through the app, waited in our bay and when the food arrived. No monopoly stickers.
None on the drinks, none on the burgers, none on the chips.
We asked the person why there wasn't any stickers, and she walked away ignoring us.
So brought the food inside and asked at the main counter.
One member of staff there understood me and asked another member of staff. This member of staff was very rude, as she blankly stated "promotion ended, no more stickers" and then turned around and ignored me outright.
I asked more questions as I knew that was untrue, and pointed out that the screens behind her are still advertising it and it's still on the app so it hasn't "Ended" like she said.
She continued ignoring me.
I understand how busy the job can be, and I couldn't care less about the monopoly stickers if they gave me a valid excuse, but to lie and to ignore me is completely unacceptable.
Went back to the car with all the food, no monopoly stickers, and another one of our group took the receipt and went in to talk to the manager.
Only to then be told that they have run out of the stickers.
Well why wasn't I told that to begin with? Why isn't there signs on the drivethrough and the screens inside telling everyone that there's no stickers??
The monopoly promotion does influence our choices and makes us as consumers buy more to get more monopoly stickers.
So the fact that the manager and the staff knew there was no stickers, not telling anyone until it's too late and even attempt to lie about it is ridiculous!
Honestly love this Macdonald's, go here often after work to de-stress but now I feel so disrespected and I don't know if I will go back there now after this..
Completely ruined the atmosphere and overall feel of...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. Be warned: the "24-hour" sign on this restaurant is a complete fabrication designed to lure you in under false pretences. This is a flagrant case of false advertising, and the service is some of the most contemptuous I have ever witnessed. After driving in from outside London late at night, I needed a place to sit and eat before heading home. Instead of the advertised 24-hour restaurant, I found a chaotic scene where the dining area was effectively shut. The tills were closed, the digital menus were off, and the staff seemed to find the presence of a customer an inconvenience. I was left standing like a fool at the empty tills while the entire night crew huddled together, watching me and openly discussing in their own language, making zero effort to communicate. After an eternity of being deliberately ignored, one of them finally bothered to tell me to walk through the drive-thru to make an order – a ridiculous and potentially unsafe instruction. I eventually had to order on my phone and collect it from the drive-thru window with my vehicle, imagine what options I would have had as a pedestrian without the app. This isn't a "24-hour restaurant"; it's a drive-thru with a useless, unstaffed building attached. This kind of deceptive practice is illegal under the UK's Consumer Protection Regulations. As a result of this disgraceful experience, I will be filing formal complaints with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) for the misleading "24-hour" claim, and with Trading Standards for their breach of consumer rights. The management of this site should be ashamed and is clearly not in control. This review serves as a public notice of my complaint and a stark warning to others. Don't believe their advertising. Don't expect to be treated with basic human decency. Just go...
Read moreI'm going to be as harsh as possible here because frankly McDonalds and their customer service does not give a damn what we think. People will still go because of the brand and it's cheap.
In a nutshell, if you are not lazy, and physically get your legs to walk inside the place, you will be the lowest priority to be served and get your food. The drive thru and gig economy delivery orders get priority and because of this, even the simplest of orders at the usual eating times (you know breakfast/lunch/dinner) can mean you wait between 10-20 minutes for your sitting down or take away orders.
Breakfast at weekend is the biggest joke. Several times waiting 15-20 minutes after all the drive thru and delivery orders have been fulfilled. The most recent occasion I had to chase after 15 minutes but the store manager just kept on distracting the staff who was trying to sort my order out.
Don't ever expect an apology for the slow service and writing to the survey online is pointless as nothing ever improves in this store. Totally fed up with the mismanagement and the can't give a damn attitude towards customers. If you want further proof, then just look at all the delivery drivers taking up the seats in the store at busy times and paying customers not being able to be seated.
As you can tell, totally sick of this joke branch of McDonald's and have taken my business to other branches further away, even if it means travelling further.
McDonalds, your new system doesn't work, stop hiding behind the misnomer it's fresh food so you are taking the time. It's because you can't fulfill the drive thru AND delivery orders fast enough.
Not expecting any meaningful reply, and I'm sure you will make enough money but please have the decency not to try and delete this...
