Millers Kitchen — Restaurant in London

Do NOT take my rating as bad. This place is GREAT. The menu concept is spot on, it suits everybody, has a U.S tinge to it. Much more suited to middle class, but excludes no one. Weekday and Weekend are catered for. The pancakes and maple syrup and ice cream and fruit seems very popular on the weekend. The construct of the menu is perfect for area and demographic. The food is cooked and offered spot on. Absolutely NO complaint about choice or execution. I would highly recommend this place for a kick back weekend. BUT, I say kick backed weekend because you cannot go if you have a deadline. Here's the Bad The Front of House is a complete shambles, it is badly organized, bad use of staff and NO system, Of any sort. No order/ticket bill system. No table pay. Inexperienced staff, great girls doing their best, BUT no system or leadership to follow. It is inefficient and creates long wait times. If this is not addressed, it could kill the business. Not enough though-put will strangle profit. Tables are being used approx. twice the time needed. It is busy,but is that popularity or slowness? It has the customer potential, I have seen it, BUT front of house is it's weakness. Small point, but ambience...

Exceptional Service and Delicious Food!

The staff at this restaurant were incredibly friendly and accommodating. When we initially inquired, they were honest about their cooking practices, explaining that pork and meat are prepared in the same pan as other dishes. We decided to leave because of this, but the chef went above and beyond for us! Since the restaurant wasn’t busy, they kindly offered to cook our breakfast in a separate pan, saying it was a one-time courtesy because we had traveled all the way from East London.

The food was absolutely amazing, and the staff’s attentiveness and thoughtfulness left a lasting impression. The only inconvenience was that the restaurant only accepts cash, and none of the nearby ATMs were working, so we had to go to the high street to withdraw money.
