Truly one of THE BEST PLACES I've ever visited. Good value for money, quality in every means possible and most importantly this is a clean environment. Subhan'Allah they set standards high! If I could give more stars I would!!! Masha'Allah!
From the moment I discovered this tiny paradise on wood street (3 years ago in their former shop); it's been a staple.
I have never had a bad dish or experience from in here MASHA'ALLAH - truly!
The soup's are (subhan'Allah) filling, nutritional and jam packed full of flavour, definitely a remedy for a stomach that needs replenishing from a cold/flu/bug!! Or just because...I mean who doesn't like a good ol' home cooked soup?! The lentil soup is warm and loving (heavier than the chicken noodle), chicken noodle soup I'd definitely recommend for flu like symptoms.
The falafel is delicious, as is the lamb wraps (my favourite).
Service (masha'Allah), ALWAYS has been humble, friendly and with a smile...I've never felt more at home and at comfort than the feeling I get when I step through these doors.
They've moved now to take over the Chinese takeaway (shame it closed because you don't get many HMC halal Chinese takeaways!!)... and the place is now accommodating enough for you to eat in (the old shop was more of a takeaway).. This is lovely to come with friends, family and loved ones for any occasion... The owners are the most accommodating owners of a food takeaway (I have ever come across); I love the authentic raw/industrial decoration vibes, such a relaxing environment.
I do not know these people in any way shape or form, but truly I pray their business goes from strength to strength and may they be blessed in it truly, because Masha'Allah the intention (in my humbled opinion), is a beautiful one and may it be increased and blessed (dunya and akhira) ameen.
It's a family run business Masha'Allah and it's such a blessing to see something like this that gives back not only to the community but Masha'Allah...
Read moreOctober 2024 Having returned to the area to after a long period away to find that they have upgraded from 0 star food hygiene rating to 1 star. The fact that this place is still able to operate is a disgrace to the local community coupled with the fact the owners terrorise the local residents and are destroying the area. No wonder why they cannot improve the hygiene rating when they are hiding all of this behind the shop. As well as not having proper waste management systems in place. I spoke to a local resident who has been battling them for years, he said this is the general consensus amongst residents and other business owners, as mini hiba continues to operate. I also notice while waiting for my food that certain food items seem to come from a different establishment a few doors down that has no name therefore no hygiene rating. I did notice a rat run into the back of the no name establishment where they appear to bake the breads. Be warned and be wary
Edit 2020 The food may be nice but the attitude of the staff is awful, the owners/managers are polite to your face but often change to speak their native tongue to talk Ill of others. Recently ordered a takeaway from here found plastic in my food. I know this is my first review but I am urging you all not to eat here. Bad...
Read moreI was smiling from the second I set foot in Mini Hiba this afternoon, and I did not stop smiling even after I left. I had arrived early to meet some friends and was greeted warmly by Aber and Moath. Moath spoke with me about the restaurant as though we were old friends. While I was reading the menu I was brought a glass and a pot of sage tea to drink while I waited. When my friends arrived we asked Aber what she would suggest from the menu and she gave us fantastic recommendations, taking into consideration one of us who is vegetarian. It didn't take long for our food to arrive, and it was presented beautifully, and the flavours and aromas were incredible. By far the best falafel I have ever had in my life. Portion sizing is fabulous too, I ended up needing a takeaway box (though this was mostly intentional, as everything sounded so yummy I couldn't choose, so I got everything that I wanted!). At the end, we were brought some mini bakhlawa (I think this is how it's spelled) as a treat on the house! And once again, the best I've had in my life! I could go on and on. I will be returning here as soon as humanly possible. Absolutely wonderful from the food to the service to the atmosphere, everything...
