Morley's Chicken - New Eltham, Sidcup Road — Restaurant in London

We've tried this Morleys Chicken shop Sidcup Rd via Uber a few times now. Their food always turns up well presented & hot. Always tastes delicious, esspecialy their yummy chicken. Earlier tonight I placed another order via UBER to be delivered to my mums as I was having a sleep over. Due to the greedy incompetent Uber driver, named Samar Gul driving a Honda PCX -KS20FVH this order ended up being a complete nightmare.

Basically he accepted my order on the UBER APP when he knew full well that he didn't have the space in his food box to store my takeaway as he already had another customers order from a different takeaway in his food storage box. He thought it would be acceptable to place my food order on his bike seat behind his bottom (very unhygienic) and fully exposed to the rain. 🤬

Thankfully the eagle eyed Morleys Chicken shop manager Reg spotted him doing this before he had a chance to drive off and quickly retrieved our food order from him.

The driver Samar went on to deliver the other persons food which was closely located to my mums address which I could see via the UBER APP as my order was still showing as being delivered.

I managed to catch Samar before he drove off and he explained what had happened yet could not see the issue with accepting my order and placing it behind his bottom exposed to wind and rain. 😡🤬 Wow.. just unbelievable.

I called Morleys Sidcup and spoke to the manager Reg who was extremely apologetic (even though it wasn't his fault) Due to all the inconvenience he offered to give us the same order for free but I didn't feel that to be fair.

I accepted having half of the order for free due to all the inconvenience but I want to say that Morleys Chicken shop in Sidcup were very helpful, with not only great customer care service but delivered a fabulous hot tasty meal. Better late than never.

UBER cancelled the previous order but I am still going to make an official complaint against Samar.

Ordered through Just Eat, double fillet burger, popcorn chicken meal, and 2 piece meal.

Popcorn chicken and 2 piece was really dry.

Double fillet burger was just 1 filllet cut in half and stacked, dry bun.

The only positive was the fries.

Is a shame as I used to have Morley’s all the time and it was great quality. Not sure what’s happened now but put me off completely. Also surprised with how expensive it is now, I expect it to be more through just eat but I could’ve got something a lot better with the...

No complaints with the food it is what it is. But I notice on bank statements that one of the co owners had been charging more than the menu price when paying but card, he would always hold it facing him but I didn’t think anything of it. When questioning him about fraud providing proof of the transactions he just started shouting walking away and would not address the situation. The bank is now investigating them for fraud.
