Mr Man's Fish 'N' Chips — Restaurant in London

Shop was empty so should have taken that as a sign but as there was parking outside i decided to stop. i ordered a large chips and was charged £4.50, as i only had £4 cash on me i ran across the road and withdrew £10 from the cash machine and ran straight back and paid for the chips. I gave a £10 note and the odd 50p in change. Not realising i accepted the wrong change and waited for my order. They proceeded to serve up a dismal bunch of overcooked and bruised chips for £4.50 which looked disgusting. when i realised they had only gave me £1 change rather than the £6 i was owed the worker's flat out lied and said i paid with a £5 note. and flat out refused to offer the correct change. its only £5 i know but its the principle. The staff were rude, and laughing at me even though i showed them on my banking app i withdrew £10 only minutes earlier when i ran across the road. The only good thing is they refunded my chips as i didn't want to give them any more of my money which they probably sold to the next poor customer. I will never be using this place again. For context Fish etc down the road is by far superior in quality and not as expensive as this...

I have been going to this shop every Friday for over 10+ years but in the past two months the original owners have retired after 30+ years. The previous owners would always look after you, were always personable and to top it off they served the best fish and chips in the area. The new owner cooks the food but never acknowledges anyone and his kids seem to try their best but fall short of providing a decent service. The quality and quantity of food has decreased massively and it is a real shame considering this place has been a regular for so many locals. After tonight I have decided I will not be returning and I wouldn’t be surprised if many others do the same and the shop is not trading for long. I came back late from work and was craving some fish and chips. I tried the food for the first time and the fish was amazing! It was crispy, delicious and the fish was massive. They unfortunately ran out of chip (as I came to the shop right when they were about to close) but I got wedges instead and the seasoning was top notch. Overall I am very delighted, definitely will be coming...
