I attended the Prince of Wales in Belvedere having read its excellent review by Pub-Spy in a recent edition of the NewsShopper. My lunchtime experience, as that of Pub-Spy, was first class. The 'sassy' barperson, I presume, would be landlady Helen, polite, efficient, chatty and welcoming. The atmosphere was pleasantly convivial, the locals friendly and like Helen, happy to chat. The real ale's, three on that day, were on sale for £2.50 a pint (lunchtime only) as were two ciders. The bitters, from memory were, Youngs, Doom Bar and Old Speckled Hen. I had the latter, which was top notch. The lunchtime food menu looked attractive, the food, both tasty and plentiful.
