This was my first time at this location and I am thoroughly annoyed and disappointed with the service. Although the establishment was not busy initially when I ordered, it got busy after my order.
I waited 25-30 min for the Fino Pitta. (no sides/takeaway)
An employee in a red shirt came by 15 minutes after I ordered, with my pitta, but as I didn’t have my receipt, I didn’t know my order number. (364) I asked him if the takeaway box in his hand was the “wrap,” which is similar but not the same as the pitta. He told me it was not a wrap and not my order. After waiting another 15 minutes, I had to ask another employee for an estimate on when my pitta would be ready. He checked with the employee with the red shirt and proceeded to bring me a bag with my order right away whilst saying “he got confused”, speaking about the employee with the red shirt.
When I took my bag, I mentioned to the employee in the red shirt that the wait was too long and this was an inconvenience. He argued with me that the pitta is not a wrap. While I understand they are different, I believe a bit of understanding and patience from him would have been appropriate during our initial and final interaction.
This behavior is disappointing for this establishment; there was no need for an argument, just an apology for the confusion. This experience cost me missing my bus and eating my food semi-warm.
In conclusion, the Fino Pitta is delicious, the only issue was the service. It would be good to have a conversation with your employees about good...
Read moreCame on a Saturday early evening (just before 5pm). Almost an empty restaurant. Ordered within 5 mins of sitting down. Food took more than 30 minutes to arrive. By that point the restaurant was packed with a lot of people collecting takeaway too. Chefs were looking the plates up on the pass and nobody was taking them to give to customers. Overheard a chef asking what the heck was going on as they were cooking a fast as they could but the food was just sitting there. Waiting staff just seemed to wander around and they were prioritising getting takeaway out rather than focusing on customers in the restaurant waiting ages for food that was not really very hot. I don't 'get' Nandos! It's meant to be quick food but basically it's chicken and chips. And it's not that cheap. If the service was great then fine, but it's not. If the atmosphere was great then fine. But it's not, there are just a lot of people looking hacked off they're waiting hours to eat. I've been to 3 different branches and the eltham one is the...
