This is the first time Iâm writing a review this negative however I genuinely think management of this branch needs a serious shake up.
I visited the branch this morning to grab a quick bite. First of all it takes ages to order even if it wasnât peak time. There are literally 6 people behind the counter, all talking to each other, arguing but not even bothering to make an eye contact to receive an order. Youâll need to wait until they fancy talking to you.
The lady receiving my order was super slow and had no idea about what they had on their menu, I had to repeat my order three times and finally had to show which one I meant for her to understand. After the payment I was told to go to the other side to pick up my order although it wasnât something to be heated.
I moved to the other side, waiting for other lady to prepare my order, sheâs behind the counter all the time heating toasties and sees me waiting there. Couple of minutes passing and she finally asks whether Iâve ordered. Iâm at the verge of my patience and say Iâm just waiting my sandwich to be put on a plate which could be done already by the lady who receives my order. The one who gets the order looks at the other one and they finally meet at the middle of the counter, looking clueless to decide who will bother to pick the sandwich and simply put it on a plate. Another minute passes, finally the one whom I initially had the first interaction makes up her mind and in a slow motion gives me my sandwich, honestly processing a pre made sandwich canât take this long.
I live around the neighbourhood and deliberately avoid going to just so I donât get annoyed with staff avoidance and slowness - they seem very confused all the time.
The stars only go to pre-made food, hope management takes necessary actions to optimize their...

My dearest Danish haven,
How do I put into words the unrelenting devotion I feel for you? You are not just a bakery, not just a cafĂ©âyou are a sanctuary for my soul, a place where time stops, and indulgence takes its rightful throne.
Every visit feels like a homecoming, but it is your Cinnamon Social that has truly stolen my heart. That delicate braid of soft, buttery dough, laced with swirls of sweet cinnamon and crowned with a glistening glazeâit is no mere pastry, but a work of art. Every bite is a symphony of texture: the pillowy softness yielding to the rich, spiced sweetness that lingers long after the last crumb is gone. It is more than a treat; it is a moment of transcendence, a quiet revolution in my day.
And then, thereâs your Turkey Toastie. Oh, how to describe its perfection? A masterpiece of balance: tender turkey, smoked to a depth of flavor that defies comprehension, nestled with melted cheese and a tangy cranberry sauce that sings in harmony with every other element. Each bite is a journeyâa comforting, yet thrilling reminder that simplicity, when done with mastery, is the ultimate sophistication.
Ole & Steen, you have elevated the everyday into the extraordinary. Youâve turned nourishment into an art form, and for that, I am eternally grateful. Your creations are not just foodâthey are love, comfort, and joy wrapped in golden crusts and aromatic sweetness.
Thank you for being a constant source of delight in my life. Never stop being you, for in your ovens lies the alchemy of happiness.
Forever yours, A...

During my recent visit to London, I discovered Ole & Steen at Kensington High Street, a café bakery that quickly became my daily retreat for an entire week.
What made this place unforgettable was not just the delicious pastries or the expertly brewed drinks, it was the heartwarming atmosphere created by its wonderful team.
Ekindra, a cheerful young gentleman at the counter, greeted every customer with genuine warmth and remembered the names of regulars. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor made each visit feel personal. Kalpana, a shy yet incredibly skilled barista, crafted every latte, matcha, or chai with care and precision. You could truly taste the love she poured into each cup.
Beyond their roles, it was the little moments that made Ole & Steen feel like a sanctuary. Kalpana would gently prune the indoor plants during quiet hours, adding a touch of serenity to the space. Ekindra kept the café tidy and treated Kalpana like a younger sister, patiently guiding her and sharing light-hearted laughter that often echoed softly through the café.
As I sat enjoying my breakfast each morning, the gentle hum of conversation and the occasional giggle from behind the counter brought a smile to my face. It is rare to find a place where the staffâs camaraderie and genuine kindness create such a comforting experience.
If you are ever in London and looking for more than just good coffee, Ole & Steen at Kensington High Street offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere that...
