On first impression the restaurant looks lovely and well decorated.
We had a table booked for 8:30pm. We did arrive about half an hour early and asked if they could seat us, but also explained we are happy to leave and come back for our table booking time if not as there were plenty of bars along the same street.
The manager said they could seat us now and got us our table.
Service was a little slow but it was Saturday night and busy. The waiters were friendly and apologetic for the delays.
Drinks and food all came at different times so there was always a time where someone was missing their order and we waited for them to be served.
I had the truffle Parmesan wheel pasta which was well presented and tasted amazing.
However we were then brought out the dessert menus. Within less than 3 minutes the waiter asked if we had decided which we hadn’t as it hadn’t been that long. He left then came back immediately afterwards and said the manager has told him that the table we were on is booked for 9:30pm and we needed to leave the table.
Bearing in mind. We had booked a table for 8:30. Arrived at 7 and it was 9:25pm. We were not sitting there just wasting time. Our mains had only just been cleared from the table. Our length of time was dictated by the speed of service!
Also we had booked for this table at 8:30pm so would we have only been given an hour?!
The waiter was very apologetic and explained it was the manager who has told him this. It is a shame the manager did not bother to come and tell us himself we were practically being kicked out. He was walking around the restaurant looking busy but not actually doing anything.
So we paid and left. On the way out we went to have a quiet word with the manager who refused to even look up from him iPad to say anything and just said he books the tables this way and that’s all. Worst service ever and unfortunately made the difference from a restaurant we would have come back to and recommended as the food was delicious. To a place we will never consider again.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Como Garden in London, both during and after my visit. I made a reservation for 7 people on December 9, 2024, using my Visa card. As part of the booking, the restaurant placed a hold of €171.81 as a no-show guarantee. This is standard practice, and since we showed up for our reservation and everything went smoothly, I expected the amount to be released after our visit.
However, to my shock, I noticed a few days later that the €171.81 had been fully deducted from my account! When I contacted the restaurant to address this mistake, they falsely claimed that we hadn’t shown up for our booking. This is completely untrue.
To resolve the issue, I was forced to provide an absurd amount of proof to demonstrate that we had been there. I sent payment receipts, bank statements, photos of the food, and even listed every dish we ordered so they could locate our bill in their system. After all that effort, I was told I would have to wait for a resolution and possible refund.
It is now January 2, 2025, almost a month later, and I have yet to receive either a response or a refund. This level of incompetence and poor customer service is utterly unacceptable.
