Nestled in Hackbridge, Olives Peri Peri is a hidden gem that delivers far more than its modest price point suggests. For £7.99, I enjoyed a peri peri half chicken with rice, and it was nothing short of remarkable.

I used to put up with the rubbish service as the food used to be so good but they've gone way down hill despite prices going way up. They always send week old salad and it ruins the meal where the "fresh" tomatoes stink and have water coming out of them. The first time this happened I thought it was an oversight the next I complained they said sorry but offered no compensation the third I humiliated them in their restaurant and got a replacement salad. Why are you doing this to good customers? Oh and the attitude towards customers is awful, they look and talk to 99 percent of people like they are the mess they found on the bottom of their shoes. I'm lucky I'm Pakistani at least they aren't racist to me, still fail to reply my salaam every time, their mothers should be ashamed, who raised these low...

I love the food don’t get me wrong. Its extremely disappointing to open a bag you’ve paid over £30 for to find 2 split bags of chicken the sauce soaking the bag, chips and even the burger.

Its even more annoying that i ALWAYS ask for the chicken portion to be double bagged/sealed as sadly this is not the first time i open their bag to find i end up with dry chicken pieces as the sauce has spilled and soaked all other items. The last 3 orders of mine this has happened.

As i like the food i will order a couple more times and im happy to give 5 stars but if this poor food arrival continues i will reducing this to a 1 star ratings.

UPDATE chicken is now packed separately which keeps it all brilliantly intact. Thanks...
