Pavilion Café — Restaurant in London

I’ve been coming to this cafe for years, however, since the change of management a noticeable difference has occurred. The menu has been overhauled, losing some old favourites, the cheap laminated plastic menu seems out of keeping with the cafe. The interior decorations and local art have been removed, making the inside look bland and industrial. The front has packets of crisps rather than the lovely array of home backed cakes, and although the staff are as lovely as ever, the service just isn’t the same. I had a jacket potato for lunch which was brought to the table, but minus cutlery, and a cup of tea but no spoon. It seems much louder and hectic than it used to be, and it’s just missing the charm and lovely cozy atmosphere it used to have and the personal service, making it more like a builders cafe than the cute park cafe...

As a paying customer, I find this unacceptable. Access to restrooms during business hours is a basic expectation when visiting a café, especially one serving food and beverages. Denying this access creates unnecessary inconvenience and leaves a negative impression of your service standards 5.45 pm my little daughter was not able to use toilet, I have begged and begged explaining difficult situation my daughter has weak bladder so wet her leggings was out of rages, Staff was not compassionate and taking rubbish: Polly had guts to say go to Pub is 5 minutes walk! I value your coffee and atmosphere, but this incident has made me reconsider returning in the future. Great food. Clean and tidy cafe atea. Cafe caters for all. Dog people, childre. Couples, groups. Cafe divided into areas. Reccomend chunky veg & lentil soup. Good variety of food. Staff are friendly knowledgeable. Goid place 14th Dec. 2023 I have been informed the Cafe has changed owners. The vegetable soup is a different recipe but is gorgeous. The granary bread is of good quality which is served with the soup, which is lovely and hot. But their is also an alternative soup which is spicey hot.
