Original Lahore Restaurant & Takeaway — Restaurant in London

Possibly the worst dining experience I’ve ever had.

Ordered from this place once a year back, and the karahi bhuna was well cooked, and the kebabs were juicy and fresh.

However, this time around I decided to eat in the restaurant, which was having a party in the back full of drunk Individuals screaming and causing a racket.

The food arrived after a fairly long wait, with tough and chewy seekh kebabs, and raw pastry in the undercooked veg samosa. The grilled whole tandoori chicken was not bad however.

The lamb bhuna arrived with the mains and was like mystery meat, and it was very tough, although the gravy tasted ok. The kofta curry meat was the exact same mince as that used in the burnt lamb seekh kebabs (had the same colour, flavour and tough, overmixed texture. The naans were also far too thick but the roti was not bad.

Overall: the restaurant has fallen badly in terms of ingredient quality and freshness.

2 other tables were also constantly complaining to the waiters of substandard food but it is clearly not the waiters fault for such poor food being served, this is up to the owner/manager and the chefs.

This food is officially reserved for the p*ssheads, and it’s safe to say I, or anyone I know won’t ever be...

The Paneer (Cottage Cheese) dish had one of the hardest paneer o had ever eaten. Stuff that really appeared stale. Maybe this restaurant is not made for vegetarians. There was only this one female server who is very nice and polite and makes effort to provide some service. The other 2 Male servers, which were there at the time of my visit, appeared to just not care. Maybe they are too stretched but that is not good enough reason to be grumpy and displaying no intention of listening to you. At least twice they walked on before my friend who was not done with the request of how we would like our food. And once turned, took a step and answered with his back towards us. I can understand that some time inconsistency may happen with the food. New in London this was our second visit in 4 days. Worst and rude customer service of the staff ever in UK on call (takeway order).... had cal to asked if the restaurant was open at around 11.pm on 4/1/2016 after checking open until 12.00. The rude staff said yes u can order.. after giving the order wen I asked to repeat the order he disconnected the call.. I callback thinking cal was disconnected he said the restaurant is shut and he disconnected the call. I called him again the staff said you are free to complain against me it will not affect us and disconnected.. and guessing he gave fake name mustafa.. I would recommend never visit this restaurant if such rude manners on call can imagine customer service in restaurant with other customers.. Please be aware of this restaurant and I have the entire call recording of this conversation due to auto call recording thanks to such technology.
