Came in last weekend. It was busy, we ordered two sandwiches. My hot sandwich, the mushroom one, came quickly about 5 minutes. My wife's took about 20 min (both sandwiches were ordered the same time with one payment) because it was a mix up with another older cis-het white couple that ordered their food after us. It felt like they overlooked my wife, and it also felt racist. When the other couple had to wait for that long, they were apologised to before us and given extra care from the cafe staff, they were very apologetic behind the counter and offered them a slice of cake for their trouble. However, they didn't even adress us, which felt racist to us, and we weren't offered anything and didn't even get an apology. Not sure if it's because we were a younger mixraced lgbt couple. Feels a bit too typical for the area to be overlooked like this. Ppl glorifying older white straight couples. Anyways, I had already eaten my sandwich before my wife even got hers and we were supposed to have them to go. My sandwich was cold inside and the cheese not melted. Finally, I had two sandwiches and two coffees in my hands struggling to carry it out but wasn't offered a carrier bag. Felt embarrassed and not welcome so left like that but then I got disappointed when coffee spilled and I couldn't carry it more than a couple meters and went back in to ask for a bag. They just handed it to me. It was just not a nice experience. It just seems like the cafe is biased to customers of the Teddington norm. Annoying. Educate your staff to care for their customers the same, and not be racist

I am furious right now. I asked for the last piece of tiramisu cake, but the person who served me took it from the display, cut small slices from each side, and then placed the mutilated slice in a box. To my surprise, she and another staff member then proceeded to eat the small pieces she had cut. When I opened the box, I discovered a small, misshapen piece of cake inside. I expressed my shock, but she insisted that they have to follow a certain standard for cake slices. This is absurd! I have purchased cake from there previously and it has always been a generous size, worth the £5 price. This is completely unacceptable!

I love this place and always stop by for a small piece of cake—red velvet is my favorite! The staff are incredibly welcoming, especially Maddi, who always has great recommendations. The coffee could be better, though. They use a La Marzocco machine, which is fantastic, but the quality depends on who’s making it. As a suggestion, they could invest in barista training. Other than that, everything is amazing and definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely disgusted with this place, paid £15 plus and the iced caramel latte had curdled milk, also there was no caramel in there, I asked the gentleman who made the latte and he said oh the milk is like that, it’s all like that, he was lying to my face, also I ordered a hummus toastie and they took 25 minutes although all the other people that came after me had placed and received there orders and had left, I asked for my toastie and all the staff looked at me and started laughing, I’m absolutely disgusted with this place as they are rude and racist!!!!! Toastie was burnt and disgusting. He did not replace my iced caramel latte, that £15 was thrown straight in the bin!!!!!

I don’t appreciate the racism I felt during my visiting.

Love your food, place and coffee super nice boy make it and tall dark hair Girl ruined. In one word Diva. Her contemptuous, judgmental tone of dismissive and vague response to a question about the price of a product when the barista was actually trying to check the price and answer. Cracking your enormous (like for a coffee shop) fingernails to show impatience. Interrupting a conversations and answering instead of the person you asked leaves you with an unpleasant feeling that you are not welcome, you are causing too much trouble with your order and you have just interrupted her having chat with baristas. Super confident behaving like I do cause I can. Nice to some and to some of the customers not. Bizarre...
