Patty&Bun Northcote Road — Restaurant in London

Sad to say but my 1st experience of the new Northcote Branch of this London staple was disappointing on all fronts. The restaurant was freezing cold, when I say cold I mean 'all customers wearing jackets and scarves cold, was told there was nothing that could be done and was offered to move to a table very close to the kitchen, this didn't help. The food arrived and my burger meat was barely lukewarm the bun was very cold, like it had been taken out of the fridge moments before, I send it back and the replacement was the same. The fries didn't actually turn up, the delivery waitress disputed these were ordered until our original waitress corrected her, they then after a large delay livered them but did include extra (unfortunately weren't the rosemary salt fries we had ordered). The red wine was undrinkable (I am not a fussy wine drinker) I mean it shouldn't be on the menu, I would challenge the management to try it and give an honest opinion. My review is based on my visit, I do believe that this may improve with time as it could well be teething problems with a new outlet, the ingredients are good but on this occasion badly presented, I will stick to beer if I do return but with so many options close by I am...

Came here on Monday night. There were a few customers but only one staff member, who seemed to be operating really slowly and spent most of the time helping kitchen to pack Deliveroo orders.

She eventually sat us down but then never looked up or came over to take an order - just zero eye contact and no effort to serve customers.

Lots of other people came and stood around waiting to be seated, but she didn’t bother to come over to them either. Pouring a few drinks for other tables took an absolute age. Another customer also waiting for a long time went in to speak to her about ordering and it seemed like she was saying our table was first as she was pointing at us.

When she eventually came remotely near us we looked at her and she just said very rudely ‘other people are before you’. No apology, no general politeness.

At this point we got up and left.

I’m not paying 12.5% ‘service charge’ for this. Spending my money somewhere it’s wanted.

Just left the shop because discriminated by the stuff!! The waitress was really confused from my first questions and refused to let me sit outside because the manager said so (btw there were people eating outside), I asked to speak to the manager and I been told that he/she wasn’t there after more then 5 mins, so I asked almost straightforward how long it was going to be for him/her to come back and magically the other waitress next to became the manager and was super rude with me, saying to go away if that wasn’t good to me and my gf!!! I had the chance to talk with police just outside the shop and I will report this case to the council as well. I been leaving and working around Northcote road for about 5 years and, they don’t know, but I’m a business owner myself!!! I’ll make sure everyone around get to know what happened tonight and for sure I’ll take...
