Generous portions and tasty! The start platter was a bit lack lustre in terms of size v price (£9.95) but delicious You got 2 poppadoms with dips to start, dips were left on tables and it’s currently warm but seemed ok Main courses very generous portions and so nice! The palak aloo was beat I’ve had - would return just for that!!! Rice portions quite small so wouldn’t share, naans large and fresh Service was quick and good but I personally don’t like been asked constantly if my food is ok: once is enough, twice is acceptable but 4 times is too many Would like to come back to try more things Starter to share with Poppodums, 2 rice, 1 naan to share, 2 mains and one side was £30 each for reference

The food here was delicious. I have never been a big food of Indian Cuisine, but Indian Moment prepared me a fantastic meal. The flavor was phenomenal, far better than Indian food I've had in America. The service was really good, and the food came out rather quickly. The atmosphere was nice, and the decor was well done. I would definitely reccomend this place to my friends in family if they are ever in the Battersea area of London. I would eat here again if I had the chance and explore the menu.

I'll be perfectly honest. Not the best curry I've eaten. I ordered a dahl, chicken vindaloo, garlic naan and spicy poppadoms. The vindaloo had a good amount of heat but was lacking in other flavours. The Dahl needed more salt, the tarkar didn't have that distinctive earthy flavour it was supposed to. The sundries were good. I see they have good scores usually but for me, I like my curries a wee bit heavier on the massala blends and spices.

UTTERLY SHOCKED BY WITNESSING THIS AND WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK HERE!!!! Me and my partner are locals and used to be regular diners at Indian Moment. Last time we went was just after their move from Northcote Road to Battersea Rise. The new venue looks very contemporary and good. Every time we visited staff has been so friendly and welcoming and the food always good. This last time the food was still good and staff friendly, there is just one thing we witnessed and I can NOT forgive Indian Moment for this ever and for this reason me as a local will NEVER EVER dine here again. Like always we ordered the poppadum basket with chutneys. Later we witnessed one of the waiters taking left-over chutneys from several tables and topping up already used chutney jars to be given at new guests. I find this absolutely unforgiving and a total NO NO for any restaurant to do. There is just NO excuse for any restaurant to recycle letf over food like this. This disgusts me so very much to see a restaurant do. I don't know if this waiter just had no clue or if this is a regular thing going on in this Indian restaurant but it happened right in front of our eyes, not even behind closed doors. We did mention it to one of the waiters and he totally agreed with us. We saw one of the owners telling the waiter who did it off. But there was no apology whatsoever from the owner himself and when we got the bill later were charged for everything. The least that could have been done was an extra apology from the owner and some compensation (at least not having to pay for the poppadum). I should inform the health...

An interestingly sad experience to be sure. My friends and I had set on having a curry in clapham with one of our friends giving it a reference. We heard about the byob rule - fine to us - and wanted to get a beer before going in. When we went by the restaurant before and a worker really wanted us to come in and sit for a meal who right after we had bought our beers.

After buying them and bringing them to the restaurant, we were met with quite hostile attitude. The new worker made a point of us having to order quickly and leave as they were closing. We were a bit shocked since the previous worker, who we did not see after, said we should come in and have a curry. At one point, one of the workers thought our friend had finished his beer, knocked over the bottle by mistake and then shook it afterwards to see if there was anymore which there was quite a bit of beer in it, very unprofessional. To top it all off, they started letting in more customers to sit and eat curry, so I guess the closing time was incorrect! Google had informed us the closing time was later than the workers had said to us, but they were adamant and walked away when we questioned it.

Our food was unfortunately average, particularly our friend who had lamb as he said it was quite chewy. Overall, I hope the manner of the employees does more than the food could as it really was...

I am usually not one to write a review, but this experience had me shivering at the afterthought of what occurred to me whilst I was in the Indian moment restaurant.

I don’t expect red carpet treatment, but the staff were brief and slightly standoffish. BUT, we didn’t really mind that.

Through a sneaky sleight of hand, we were offered ONLY still or sparkling, no tap within 2 seconds of sitting down before we could get our bearings. As soon as we said regular water, he unscrewed the cap to the expensive still (which he had partially concealed) and poured it before we even fully saw the bottle.

We were charged 12.5% for a ‘service surcharge’ on top of the already unreasonably priced meals.

Finally, we were told that we would be given a discount if we provided a Google rating - the staff came over with a card that he tapped on our phones to open the review page while he lingered there, waiting for us to leave a positive review. Very uncomfortable.

One of us did, but when it came time to pay, we mentioned the discount to the waiter. He ignored my friend when he mentioned the discount, tapped my card, charged us the full amount, and said ‘if you had told me before, I would have done it.’

Really uncool! Pricey and...
