I’ve been eating in this restaurant since 1994, and it never fails to deliver. It has a solid menu of modern Italian dishes including pizza and pasta but with excellent seafood and fish dishes as well. It’s always worth booking, especially at the end of the week and at weekends. Try to get a table in the conservatory as the rest of the restaurant can be quite noisy when it’s busy. Sitting outside is recommended in warm weather, but you can’t book a table outside. The top tip is the start with the tomato garlic bread. It’s crispy and delicious, and made for sharing. I often go for the seafood linguine or the seabass, but yesterday I ordered two starters. The mussels were delicious, as was the warm octopus and potato salad. My son opted for the orecchiette with sausage and broccoli, which he says is his favourite meal anywhere. We shared a tiramisu, which was the perfect way to finish the meal. The bill was a little higher than normal because we were celebrating with a jug of Aperol Spritz.

The staff were all Italian and incredibly friendly and lively and helped my friend wiry his menu choice. He had Mushroom languine and was slightly disappointed as he couldn't taste much mushroom in it. However, I had Salsicee Grigliate which was very nice. The meat in the sausages was quite pink so I was a bit worried that I might be ill afterwards but I was fine and I later discovered that the meat is not meant ot be cooked too much so you can appreciate the flavour of the herbs and spices more. Although being staffed by Italians, they had an English radio station playing, so the atmosphere was not great for being in an italian restaurant. I like to hear some Italian music and feel like I am in Italy whilst I'm there. Prices were reasonable and we were even offered a free limincello after our dinner which we gratefully accepted and was very tasty.

Compared to the many Italian restaurants in the neighborhood, Buonasera is my least favorite so far… Went for dinner on a busy Saturday night. We didn’t feel welcome and the young man who was serving our table wasn’t attentive… For antipasti, i ordered the aubergines stuffed with mozzarella cheese in “rich” tomato sauce sauce as they describe it. 2/5 from me… The sauce was not “rich” at all, but rather diluted and watery. Tasteless. As for the mains, the salsiccia e pecorino pizza was soggy and the dough couldn’t hold the weight of the toppings and would break. It was unpleasant to eat such a soggy mess. I’m not even talking about the presentation… like seriously who puts onions like that on a pizza? My friend ordered the breaded chicken breast and it was tasteless. I can make better, honestly. Wouldn’t visit again

I had dinner at Buona Sera with five friends last week and it was a truly memorable experience. The service made Fawlty Towers look like the finest Michelin star restaurant, with our wine brought to the table 45 minutes after ordering and our food being completely forgotten about. Not once was our table cleared without persistent prompting from our party and only when I questioned the whereabouts of our pizzas did they realise that the order hadn’t reached the kitchen. An hour and a half in. My dismay upon hearing this news was met with aggression by the waiter who immediately went into defensive mode. Said waiter also smashed a glass on our table but told us not to worry as he would clear it up later, leaving a member of the party to clear it up himself. Manuel, eat your heart out. We concluded that it’s not a good idea to coincide your dinner with an Italy football match, which clearly took precedence over the lowly needs of their patrons. After such a shambolic experience, some form of compensation would have helped soften the blow but the complimentary shots of limoncello with no discount from the bill didn’t quite cut the mustard. Anecdotally it was a funny evening because if you don’t laugh you’ll cry. You have...

Unfortunately there is no zero rating otherwsie I'd select that. This restuarant is VERY poor. The customer service is pretty bad as a few waiters were swearing in Italian an full ear shot of customers and probably assumed customers didnt understand. Hearing "Stick it up your arse" yelled across the restaurant in Italian from one waiter to another was bad but the food service is slow. Food ordered turned up very late, was tiny portions which did not justify the expensive charge and it was not hot which had us assuming its been sitting for hours. We Had to ask 3 times for some tap water and after asking for a small wine (charged for a large) and waiting 45 minutes for desserts we were rudely spoken too by the waiter and physically challenge to why we were not happy waiting.

Disgusting level of service, food low quality and over inflated prices with very dated decor, this place is shockingly abusing naive cliental.

I would strongly suggest to avoid this restaurant unless you are purposely looking to...

My partner and I came to eat here and we were disappointed on all aspects. Firstly, I wanted to make a substitution on the menu and I was laughed at and shamed by the lady at the front reception, which made me feel horrible. Also she didn’t smile or anything at us when we asked how she was… just so rude. I ended up ordering the chicken Milanese and it was so disgusting. Their chilli oil is oil with chilli flakes that have been in there for far too long and isn’t spicy at all. My partner ordered the lasagne which was tasteless and soggy. The white wine (granted we picked the cheapest) was still just so nasty, so I agree that might be on us. Overall, I pray that none of you eat here. We looked all around us and everyone was making faces at their full plates and nasty cocktails! We will be getting food elsewhere. 0/5 if I could! If you want photos pls message me it’s so disgusting! Masilliamo the waiter made our dinner worth it with friendly service and limoncello shots, thank you for actually being a...
