Extremely fast and attentive service
Olives and tomato dip on table in seconds of arriving.
Olives, delicious, spicy, little too salty Tomato dip, delicious, sweet and juicy
Basket of bread brought very shortly after. Fesh, soft and crispy but no doner kebab sauce on it(special Turkish secret). Still great when dipped in tomatoe dip.
Mixed shish for main (Chicken & Lamb)
Lamb, juicy, succulent, flavorful, soft, perfect
Chicken, little dry (but very rarely very juicy anywhere) soft, charcoal flavour good
Basmati rice a little basic but cooked right and soft, nice rice
Salad lacked flavour, missing a nice dressing like pomegranate sauce.
Yogurt on the side an unusual addition and not sure why/what exactly its meant to go with but nice, thick, rich and creamy
Decor very chilled, dim lighting gives a relaxed and intimate vibe without being too romantic. Family friendly.
Nice sofa style seating at some tables
Plenty of pretty traditional hanging lights and plates on the walls setting the scene.
Tea has sugar sachet not authentic cube.
Pistachio ice cream, delicious, creamy, sweet but not too sweet with plenty of pistachio pieces.
Baklava, warm, not cold like many places which is great! A little dry, maybe sitting a while but, not stale. Needed more honey on top.
Pastry a little powdery/crumbly not soft and juicy. Not too sweet though like some baklava can be.
The restaurant has a good authentic feel.
Price at the higher end of mixed grills at £21.50 or £28 for mixed shish and kofté but not the most expensive and some others charging in the same range do not provide near the level of service or quality...
Read moreThe most revolting restaurant we ever been. Last night we went for dinner and was shocked on how bad the food was. We are a regular turkish cuisine fans and this what we experianced was not anywhere near the satisfactory point. The chef looking personnel kept wondering around looking like as if hes been working at sewers and not in a restaurant very dirty and unhygenic looking.. The menu was rich but the price tags really shook us. This is not because we found it expensive but to judge what we received and what we paid was not worth. We could easily dine at a michelin star restaurant for that price. The service part wasn't bad but i would advise the ill management that they need more staff. 1.5 hours of waiting time for the food to reach our table and when it finally did i personally noticed a single hair sticking out of the dish. I am forwarding this complaint to health and safety regulators and also trading standards. Today i still feel sick to my stomach. POLITE REQUEST TO MANAGEMENT. PLS TAKE ACTION ON WHAT IM SAYING, the 1 star i put down was not by will but by force petek does not deserve...
Read moreWent here to celebrate my mother in laws birthday (who is Turkish). Very dim lighting and lots of people on different tables using the torch app to see the menu! The menu was poorly set out and £4.55 for houmous!! Food was OK for a Turkish restaurant but this restaurant is purely run for profit and not interested in the experience that their patrons have. There was no welcome, staff only interested in taking orders and couldn't answer questions about food. 10% compulsory service charge for your basic service which made you feel very rushed and that they needed the table. We usually go to Ole Pera on Stroud Green Road but it's closed due to refurbishment. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing evening with my mother in law waiting outside in the rain for a taxi in the rain because of the rushed ambience. We paid nearly £100 for four meals, a couple of starters, two beers and one vodka. There was no atmosphere, staff were distant and food ok. We will not be returning which is a shame as it looked very nice from...
