Best western Highbury hotel, remember this name as this is best hotel in North London! Prices are excellent, I have stayed twice, each stay was for a 12 nights , my favorite room is 410 , and honestly I am so happy I found this place. Few steps from Alexandra grove bus stop which was helpful even for night london double decker buses, less than 5 minutes from Finsbury Park underground and railway station which makes your travel inside london or outside very simple and organized whenever your trip is morning or after midnight too. However I will start from fast check in , the lobby gave me my electronic room keys!!! all with help of very nice friendly and professional reception, Neal,Akees and Bobby who have great response as the rest of stuff . I felt special from the beginning to the end. Beautiful clean lobby with tourist attractions documents and maps for london and computer with printers - all free to use for guests- surly can make you feel like you home. New  Elevator and restaurant at the basement. The room was lovely, super clean with most comfortable bed I have ever slept on! and OMG love they pillows!!!:))) bathroom with shower very clean, lovely hygiene . wide range of TV channels and kettle with free tea,Nescafe, brown sugar and delicious biscuits every morning, excellent room service, change towels every day. Reception was very helpful in directing me to nice places indeed , so I had great nights out as well. if I run out of tea, coffee of milk in the room! Its really like they thought of everything to please your stay!the cash box was very useful to save money and confidential documents in during the whole stay ,so happy with my stay that actually was sad to leave! Nela who checked me in was very sweet and friendly. Overall I had best stay ever in London!!! and definitely will back there and will recommend this place in North London to everyone :)

We stayed here because it had parking onsite for £30, we stayed for 3 nights . £10 per night. We wanted a room with a double bed, but they only had a twin room left. Once the heating was on, it was very hot in the room. Luckily we were at the back of the hotel o a side road that was blocked of. We slept, one nightore than the others. The beds squeak with every movement and the pillows were uncomfortable. The hotel was in a convenient place for business and site seeing. The hotel had easy access for two tube stations, Finsbury and Manor Park. The room was okay. I could see dust on the walls and the curtains needed washing. The bathroom was okay, the shower was large enough to get in and out. The breakfast wasn't for us. The pastries were hard overall we didn't like any of the cooked hot food, that we had on the first morning. Someone found a moth in his cereal, so we struck toast, cheese and cold meat. I had a banana sandwich for breakfast. Our towels were changed for the days we stayed. Someone staying there arrived in the early hours and kept us awake, this happened twice, we didn't sleep well. Probably wouldn't stay here again

We booked a 2-night stay from 30/05/2025 to 01/06/2025, but ended up leaving after just one night because the hotel was in terrible condition — nothing like what’s shown online. The entire place is outdated and poorly maintained: The corridors were dirty, with rusty buckets, foul-smelling mops, and bins just left out in the open. Carpets and surfaces were covered in thick dust, including skirting boards and door handles. Our room was filthy – dust on every piece of furniture, a stained and worn-out mattress, and holes in the duvet cover. The bathroom smelled of damp, had mold, and grime everywhere. The sound insulation is non-existent – we could hear every word from the corridor. We barely slept, and the place was so uncomfortable we left a night early and drove home. Absolutely not worth the money and far from the restful experience we expected. Would not recommend staying here until serious cleaning and renovations are done.

The accomodation was clean, comfortable and in a good position to the local amenities; tube stations etc. The price of my stay was £120 for a double room on a Tuesday night which I considered competitive against other hotels in the immediate area.

The following morning I thought I'd treat myself to breakfast at the hotel which was a self service buffet. The produce; eggs, bacon, sausage had, in my humble opinion, been resting in heat retaining containers for too long with the aforementioned food items drying up as a result. Halfway through my breakfast plate I raised my concerns/objections with a female member of staff who appeared to be working in the dining area. Her suggestion was that she would clear my plate from the table and I could start afresh with a new selection of items. Being somewhat put off by my initial experience I was reluctant to accept this offer and kindly requested I not be billed for the breakfast upon check out. The member of staff explained she did not have the authority to action such a request and that I should raise the matter with the reception team when departing. (Fair enough).

At the reception desk I explained the above points to Bianca who was on duty and politely requested that I not be billed for breakfast. The curt response I received from Bianca came as an abrupt shock. Bianca explained that she would indeed be charging me for breakfast as I had consumed the majority of food on my plate before raising an issue. To cut a potentially long story short I calmly tried to reiterate my above feedback to which she claimed my points were "ridiculous" in nature to such an extent where I felt she was being rude, unprofessional and outright dismissive of my opinion. I had specifically requested that Bianca not charge the credit card stored on their file for my stay for breakfast. However Bianca insisted she was going to bill me despite the fact I stated charging me without my permission is potentially fraudulent. Another point which Bianca stated was "ridiculous". I have since escalated this event to an official complaint and full investigation which is still pending an outcome and satisfactory resolution namely; not billing me £10 for breakfast.

Due to the nature of my employment I stay at Best Westerns throughout the country on a regular basis. Although what serves as my first ever complaint with this chain of hotels I felt the matter could have benefitted from more efficient customer service on behalf of Bianca at the front desk. Although this isolated incident did not serve to detract from the purpose of my visit. I will now consider booking future stays with the hotel's competitors such as Premier Inn...

AVOID!!!! Breakfast was worse than awful. Supposedly hot food was cool, bakery (croissants) were stale and had a bizarre sweet taste. Cheese was curled and darker at the edge!!! Scrambled eggs were a very odd flavour, assume made from a powder mixture. Left it all, such a waste. Even my partner who eats most things couldnt eat. Crockery and cutlery dirty. No tables cleared, although plenty available. Asked for a plate (since only saucers and bowls available) from the "private staff" kitchen (which was just a mess). Had one almost thrown at me, I assume grumpy as I had interrupted her time on her mobile phone.....which explains the very low standards of breakfast. Absolutely NOT worth it! However, if you don't risk breakfast there are good points! Location ideal for Arsenal Emirates Stadium (why we booked, for a concert). Tube stations (Finsbury and Manor House) approx 8 min flat walk. 30 to 45 mins on tube from central London if that matters to you. The reception staff (met 3) were really great. Friendly, courteous, helpful and efficient. The room was fresh and clean, as were towels and bedding. Some noise from road (it's a busy road by Finsbury Park so expected) and other guests returning/closing doors etc but earplugs supplied which is a nice touch and didnt bother us. Towels small but for 1 night no issues. TV, tea, coffee, biscuits, air con (not convinced it was fully operational), hangers, desk, chair and a safe in room. Bathroom shower was brilliant, such good pressure, could have stayed in there all day!! If I was to stay again it would only be for location, if nothing else were available. I would eat elsewhere, like the gutter. I do not recommend whatsoever just due to breakfast. Shame that 1 department/person lets the others down! I appreciate #bestwestern @bestwestern don't have a great reputation so my my expectations were low. Dont be fooled by the cleverly angled/edited photos!!! Breakfast was WAY BELOW my low expectations. Room and reception staff were WAY above my...
