Portobello Juice W10 - Gym Meals — Restaurant in London

I had an extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience with this restaurant through Uber Eats. The assigned driver did not move for over half an hour, leaving my order sitting at the restaurant. I had no option in the app to cancel or request a new driver, so I called the restaurant twice, explaining the situation and asking them to cancel the order as I had no option to do anything else, no help, and I could gave been waiting g fir 1 or 5 hours without any reassurance the food would even arrive..

Instead of helping, they flat-out refused, claiming they had no way to cancel. However, I have over 15 years of experience as a restaurant manager, so I know for a fact that restaurants do have the option to cancel. Only after I pushed back and called them out their lie on this did they finally admit they could cancel—but still refused to do so. The reason? They didn’t want to lose money. But what loss were they really facing? At most, one egg on toast, as all the other food was already prepared food ready to sell, while I was left with a £40 loss and no way to fix the situation.

Eventually, after many unanswered messages and failed calls to the driver, he finally canceled, and Uber assigned a new driver. But by the time my food arrived, it was stone cold and completely inedible after such a long delay.

The fact that this restaurant had every opportunity to do the right thing but actively chose not to is incredibly unprofessional. I was left with no options, at the mercy of a driver who wasn’t moving and a restaurant that refused to take responsibility. As far as I knew, I could have been waiting for hours with no resolution, and they simply didn’t care.

I strongly advise others to think twice before ordering from here. I hope management takes this as a wake-up call to prioritize customer service over a few pounds of potential loss, especially when a customer is completely stuck and out of options, as I clearly explained to them. This was a terrible experience, definitely won’t be ordering from here again and don’t recommend unless they improve on management and...

Previously I had left a short positive review on this place. Unfortunately my last visit ruined my views on this juice bar. I’ve been coming for months now whenever I am in the area about 4 times so far and really liked our visit and drinks the first few times. The juice though pricey was great. Super fresh and unlike any that I tried. I always go for Dr Detox for a gingery drink. But my last server who we saw for the first time, different from our previous visits, was obnoxiously rude when we are asking about potential substitutions and tried charging us extra for it despite it being a substitution due to allergies and not additional fruit/veg. When we explained this he rudely and begrudgingly accepted but made our drinks incredibly watery and truly disgusting I think he overused the celery as I hardly saw any fruit that was taken out of the fridges like our previous super nice server shows us when we go. I came out somewhat lucky as my friends drink was absolutely vomit-like and we sadly couldn’t do anything about it since we were too far driven away. We get large sizes every time since usually it’s super nice but he didn’t put ice in our drinks, which was normal for every other visit of ours, and made it unbearable to drink. I thought having a small menu meant the drinks could be reliably tasty but it’s sad to see despite such a small set drink list that only after 5 visits did we run into quality consistency issues and makes us really doubt going in another time to waste money on watery warm disgusting garbage. I only wish I caught his name so that I could avoid him as it is really a shame since we really liked our previous visits. At the end of the day if you are taking a gamble each time you go for taste then what’s the point of making a detour for this store....

I just saw you're picture googling. The restaurant usually is something I wouldn't go in person because looks very trendy and it's not my style . I like more of classical stuff . Not really into vegan etc because I have a very serious digestive illness and is hard to find a restaurant because most foods can make me feel unwell , can't eat much fibre . Actually ordered from deliveroo because of the ratings for the first time and haven't seen the restaurant in person . My God, the food was amazing! I was very sick and have the flu . Again I can't eat many things because of health issues but you have a menu we can choose what we want. Was very nice to have the choice . I ordered scrambled eggs with ketchup and toast with cheese . When the food arrived was really surprised about the taste as my tastebuds were weak . It was incredible. The eggs were amazing. The ketchup tomato sauce , I never had that before tasted homemade so delicious like gourmet. Also ordered the ginger and Manuka honey shot that was very good for my cough . Was so tasty I ordered deliveroo again and I was able to eat it with no problems. Only one complaint, the second time I ordered I had less tomato sauce ketchup, it's so delicious I wanted to have more of it hehe . The cheese also was very light . Is it vegan or normal cheese ? Because was ok to my stomach. Resuming everything I'm glad I ordered , very surprising . Will order again for sure . When feeling a bit better can even go in person someday. Thank you ...
