Food was great ,service was okay Feb 2025 • friends I had my daughters 21st birthday at the hall upstairs (although I must say that the food was very tasty and excellent ) .Also as for the statement stating that a private area is given ,in fact we were only allowed to use half the room despite no one else being there ,also there is no bar upstairs despite earlier assurances so the guests had to walk down stairs to the main restaurant and the stairs were very steep. The party was let down by the service we received as well. We have hosted a lot of parties before and we are well rehearsed with the timings allowed . Just to explain further when my wife was booking the venue we were verbally told that they cant hold the party till 1 am (due to licencing problems but 12.00 am was fine ) .Also we were initially told that we couldn't stick anything on the walls (this was retracted by another manager when I came down in person but only with blue tack) I had to come down to sort the menu out as there were quite a few discrepancies on it. But on the day of the party (despite leaving clear instructions before ) I had to keep asking to fill up starters and I even had to tell people that dinner is served (something the waiters could have done ) .But the annoying thing was that without warning the sound system was reduced in volume at 11:20pm(later adjusted back a little when my wife complained and main lights were switched on at 11:50 pm. I will think about recommending this venue to our many friends and relatives. Luckily my daughters friends did not notice too much and enjoyed the evening (some had travelled 2-3 hours...
Read moreI recently dined at Praba Restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, especially the king fish fry, chicken lollipop, and chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream offerings.
The fish fry was nothing short of spectacular. The fish was perfectly seasoned, with a crispy golden crust that had just the right amount of crunch. Inside, the fish was moist and flaky, bursting with fresh flavor. It wasn't overly greasy, which is often a problem with fried dishes. The tartar sauce served alongside complemented the dish well, adding a nice tangy balance.
Chicken lollipop was another highlight of the meal. The chicken lollipops were juicy on the inside and perfectly crisp on the outside. The spice level was just right, offering a delicious kick without overpowering the palate. The presentation was also impressive, making it both a treat for the eyes and the taste buds. They paired it with a spicy dipping sauce that added an extra punch.
For dessert, I opted for the chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. The dessert was light yet satisfying, with a rich flavor that didn’t feel too heavy. It was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked.
Overall, my experience at Praba Restaurant was delightful. The service was prompt, and the ambiance was cozy, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. I highly recommend trying the fish fry and chicken lollipops, and definitely save some room...
Read moreExtremely disappointing experience with this restaurant via Uber Eats. I attempted to order their Buy One Get One Free Mutton Biryani deal, but the pricing on Uber Eats was completely incorrect. When I called the restaurant to clarify, I spoke to someone named Rohit, who was not only dismissive but completely unwilling to listen. He insisted—repeatedly and arrogantly—that the issue was on my end and claimed the final price at checkout should be £14.95.
That was absolutely not the case. The app clearly showed a much higher price, and contrary to what Rohit claimed, the Biryani was not listed at £10.49. Even when I tried to explain the discrepancy, he shut me down and kept pushing the blame back on me.
To make matters worse, when I contacted Uber Eats, they confirmed the pricing comes directly from the restaurant—not Uber’s error. Rohit then claimed the mutton option should cost an extra £2, yet on the app, it added over £7. This is either a serious technical issue or a deliberate markup. Either way, it's unacceptable.
Rohit showed zero customer service skills and absolutely no interest in resolving the problem. If this is who they choose to put on the phones, it reflects terribly on the restaurant's management and training. At the very least, he should have taken a moment to double-check their system instead of being so combative.
Customer service needs urgent improvement. I'm appalled by the lack of accountability and professionalism. Fix your prices....
