If you're drunk and have little care about your well-being and the risks attached to poorly prepared food then you can't beat this place. A very informal setting, often cold as the door is left open, with Brit-Asia TV on, our favourite spot is by the double freezer as the Kulfi is within easy reach. Failing that it's by the IKEA bedroom cupboards by the corner as this is where the sauces and napkins are kept.
The food is great. Go for the mixed grill. Portions are big. Nothing to complain about here. We always order chips to accompany our meal. Most of the time these are on-point except for the odd time when they look as if they've been cooked in oil from the North Sea.
The restroom situation is, er, different. It is an external toilet for which you have to collect a key which is hanging on the wall. The key has a spanner on it for some reason. It's a Men’s only toilet so not sure what ladies are to do - not that you see many ladies in there. There is a mountain bike in the toilet which I assume belongs to one of the chefs.
You can take your own Alcohol into this establishment and the gentleman who looks like the Pakistani Mario is more than happy to provide ice.
Be careful when ordering large mains. Especially the Daal as your you'll get 5 litres of the stuff.
The bill always seems to be arbitrary and random. We feel we have been over-charged twice. In fact the last time we went we just paid less than was asked and walked out. For this reason I've given it four stars.
2 stars if...
Read moreI have been here a few times and this is the last time I will buy food here. Today I recieved stale refrigerated pakoras probably from few days ago tasted disgusting. Even the Aloo Tikki was refrigerated left overs and disgusting. The only thing they make fresh is the naan. A few months ago I bought chicken here and guess what? Yup refrigerated cooked chicken pieces that was left over from previous days. This place is dirty and I will inform the food and safety authority as this place is a public health risk. The old guy is also trying to over charge people for cold stale refrigerated food so make sure you look at the menu first. They mainly cater to the local builders and will hardly serve fresh food. Looks appetising behind the glass counter but it’s all disgusting. Unless you see it coming off the stove or pan, I wouldn’t buy from here. I also saw flies sitting on the biryani and the samosas, I won’t...
Read moreVery disappointing experience – not recommended. I visited this restaurant with friends for breakfast and had a truly unpleasant experience. I politely asked the owner if our food could be made with butter instead of oil, as I have an allergy to oil. He abruptly said they don’t use butter. I even offered to provide my own butter, but instead of being understanding or offering any alternative, he rudely told us to go to another shop. There was no effort to accommodate or even suggest a different meal. His attitude was unprofessional and dismissive, especially first thing in the morning. Sadly, this is how they choose to treat their customers. I would not recommend this place...
