Massive let down. Used to be a frequent customer when it was Roy's and didn't realised it had reopened. Was excited to place an order and waited patiently Prices have gone up, but food quality has gone down. Ordered two mains with hard food which one main turned up by missing the other and both hard food. Tried ringing them up but they never answer the phone. I wanted to order over the phone but gave in and used a delivery platform instead. Tried for 30 minutes to get through to get the order corrected but kind of glad they didn't bother answering Opened up the container to find it nuked in the microwave to within an inch of its life and it had a river of separated grease sitting atop the food. Seem to be less chicken than before, plenty of bones and grease. There was a whole one side of a chickens rib cage, an entire neck bone, what I imagine was a hip bone and the only one with meat on was a leg Heartburn within two bites so decided not to bother Grabbed a festival out of the bag to find it was stale but obviously reheated in the microwave again. It dropped like a brick on the table so threw them out. The only edible item was a bowl of coleslaw. Luckily because I did order from ubereats, they refunded me the entire order within minutes. Lesson learnt. Won't be ordering again. Reading the other reviews I'm wondering whether the nice fresh food is reserved for in dining and yesterday's leftovers are reserved for delivery orders??

From the moment the plate arrived, I knew I was in for something special. The rich aroma of slow-cooked spices and herbs instantly transported me to the heart of the Caribbean. The curry mutton was incredibly tender, falling apart with the slightest touch of a fork. The curry was bold and deeply seasoned, with just the right amount of heat and warmth from scotch bonnet peppers and pimento. Each bite was layered with flavour, showing the love and time poured into the dish. The oxtail was nothing short of perfection. Braised until melt-in-the-mouth tender, it was coated in a rich, glossy gravy that clung to the bone. Hints of thyme, garlic, and browning added depth to every bite, making it the ultimate comfort food. And then there was the festival – golden, slightly crisp on the outside, soft and doughy on the inside, with that touch of sweetness that paired perfectly with the savoury richness of the meats. It was the perfect balance, like a Caribbean hug on a plate. Altogether, this meal was a beautiful representation of Caribbean soul food – hearty, flavourful, and cooked with passion. If you haven’t tried these dishes yet, you’re seriously missing out on one of the best culinary experiences the islands have to offer.

We've been ordering takeaway from the Real Love Lounge for a while, but we decided to dine in for Sunday lunch—and it didn’t disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and went out of her way to help us find a spot with enough space for our baby's buggy. We ordered our usual mains: jerk chicken and brown stew chicken, both with rice and peas. Everything was cooked to perfection! The jerk chicken had a great char, and the brown stew chicken was so tender it fell off the bone. The spice levels in both dishes were spot on. For the sides, we ordered mac & cheese, which was creamy and buttery with every bite, and dumplings that were perfectly fluffy inside. Unfortunately, the plantain was a bit too dry for our liking, as we prefer it soft, sweet, and caramelized. They offer a great selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. I’d highly recommend dining here, and we’ll definitely be back soon. I know this is a long shot, but a Caribbean roast on Sunday would be a big hit.

The dining experience from hell

I WAS a loyal customer to real love lounge but after the shenanigans on Friday that is no longer the case.

I use their online delivery service, the food isn’t bad 3/5 mediocre local Caribbean restaurant… a bit hit and miss sometimes good sometimes not so good but always edible.

I booked a week in advance for a party of 20 odd people. The service was ridiculously slow. There was only two waitresses and as well as my party there were other diners. After ordering the food an hour later, they come back to us to say that they’ve run out of XYZ. As I had to drop my poorly mother back home, I did ask them when my food is finished being prepared just to leave my food in the kitchen and I will have it when I’m back. They said that was fine upon coming back to get my food they’re telling me I have to wait for it.

Everyone had finished their meal and I was still waiting for my food so I asked the lady to put it in a container still 45 minutes later. I’m waiting for this food I had to continuously chase one of the ladies to sort out my grandmother‘s cake every time she was about to help me a customer would come and then she would prioritise that customer over myself even though I had been waiting a very long time She just kept telling me that I had to wait and that I just need to wait and it was frustrating because she continually kept putting customers that are coming up before my request.

After cutting the cake and dishing it out to my family members, everyone’s getting ready to leave, I’m still waiting for my food bearing in mind this is probably like 3/4 hours in by now. She goes in the back and comes back and says oh we’re out of XYZ I was livid. She explained that they gave my food to another party and was remaking me my order and there was no more of some of it. At this point I was extremely annoyed as I hadn’t eaten with the party nor at all and she is complaining to her colleague behind the bar with me right there kissing her teeth going it’s not my fault that she had to go and drop her mum home with all due respect she could’ve declined or made me aware that if I do leave I’d have to re-order and what I want may not be here when I’m back she did none of that.

I think this business is highly unorganised, that Short lady with the bun needs to learn some manners and Customer Service skills because how she acted and treated me and some of the things she said was completely unacceptable and she will let that business go broke with her stinky attitude.

While I think they may be a decent takeaway shop hosting a dining experience or a large booking for a dining experience they just can’t do so either they should improve that service or not offer at all and just you know do a group of people 4 Max.

Also be prepared to have enough food for a large party their catering or ask people to pre-order what they want so you can ensure that you have enough food.

A lot of the food was left behind by the party I was with, which reflects how mediocre the food was it isn’t anything special.

That service really needs to be worked on and also learning on how to prioritise customers and how to treat customers with respect and dignity and being annoyed when the customer is upset when the error is coming from...

I recently attended a birthday party at Real love Lounge and I have to say, it was an incredibly disappointing experience. What was supposed to be a fun evening ended up being a frustrating and disorganized ordeal from start to finish. The venue was booked for a birthday party from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, but right from the moment we arrived, things went wrong. The bar was understaffed, and there was a long queue for drinks. With only a few staff members working the bar, there was a limited selection of drinks, and it took a lot longer than expected to get served. Not the best way to start a celebratory evening!

When we were finally seated, we had to wait until 8:05 PM just to receive our starter—over an hour after our booking time. As the night wore on, the delays continued. The main course arrived at 8:47 PM for some of the guests, but I didn’t get my meal until 10:30 PM—well after the time we were supposed to wrap up. By that point, I had ordered fish, but by the time it arrived, I was so frustrated that I just couldn’t bring myself to eat it.

What made the situation even worse was the lack of communication from the staff. There was no update on the delays, and despite asking the manager for assistance, they were nowhere to be found. Neither the staff nor the manager took any responsibility or offered an explanation for the long waits. It was a complete lack of customer care.

To top it all off, we discovered that takeaway orders were being sold to people who weren’t part of the party while we were still waiting for our meals. This felt incredibly disrespectful and further highlighted how little attention the restaurant was giving to our group.

Overall, I left the restaurant feeling completely let down and hungry. The service was slow, there was no communication, and the staff seemed overwhelmed and unprepared for the event. This place was clearly not equipped to handle large bookings, and I wouldn’t recommend it for any special occasion. A major letdown, and I won’t...

I attended a large group party for my first time. Having lived in Eastcote for a number of years, I was impressed how the restaurant was still going. Excited to go, I was instantly disappointed with the service and organisational structure for what I had been told 'was not a typically busy night'. Our waitress/server was also a bar tender and it was disappointing that a number of drinks couldn't be made and so many dishes were unavailable to make. It was a tad embarrassing to ask me to mentally prepare an alternative for either, only to find THAT was also not available upon a 2nd backtrack. The food order was very long after drinks, the food came out sporadically like eating at a wagamamas, but even they would rival the wait times. The TV was blaring out music which drowned out our conversation and after meals, no one came to collect the plates or glasses. As the night grew, so did the dirty dishes on our table. It was like nobody was willing to take responsibility because their were too many enquiries and orders. The drinks prices were unbelievably expensive, running 9pounds for any single spirit and mixer bottle! I ended up paying more for 3 drinks than my meal! I will say the food was authentic and tasty, but not enough to make me want to revisit the place(I believe anything tastes better if you've been made hungry waiting for it). After arriving at 7pm, I found myself having to do their clerical work to figure out what had been ordered and by the end of the night and patiently waiting 40minutes to get the bill situation addressed, had given up hope of ever returning.

To summarise: Takes too long for order and wait for food. Staff don't make you priority. Be expected to wait a long time. Food average, good portions and authentic. Drinks...
