Roca Mangal — Restaurant in London

When arriving on a very hot day we entered a a nice cool air conditioned restaurant and was seated at a table not the window table we had booked a month ago. We were then given menus and left no drinks offered no jugs of water brought out we had to get the waitress attention to get some drinks and then to order. Restaurant was not busy and still nice and cool no background music which wasn't a problem has was all chatting with starters the complementary olives and bread came which should have come with the drinks. Before some of us had finished our starter and still empty plates on the table we was told our mains was coming had to put a delay on that has way to quick and hate being rushed where foods concerned. All of a sudden the restaurant got warmer and by the time mains was delivered most of us was rather hot to say the least hotter than the food in front of us. We realised the air conditioning had been turned off so we asked for this to be turned back on well to cut a long story short it didn't and we collected our birthday cake and left. Have to say the food what was eaten except the childrens pasta was good but none fully eaten...

August 2022 - there seems to be a fairly high turnover of staff and although the menu seems unchanged, the quality and presentation seems to vary (for example in the salads and the sundries like the variety and quantity of grilled vegetables used to garnish, the olives and pita bread provided as an entree etc.). Appreciate that in the current climate they are probably looking to reduce costs but these little things detract from the overall experience. Still giving 4 stars, but seriously considering downgrading to 3.

Roca Manual is a newly opened Turkish Restaurant (Jan 2019). I rather unkindly threw a large party their way (16 diners) and even though a new establishment they coped well, with people's food coming out together and in an acceptable timescale. Everyone enjoyed their meals, agreed they would happily return and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I have already returned for a second time, and enjoyed the second visit equally as much as the first.
