The Bamboo Garden — Restaurant in London

I ordered two dishes of king prawns with black bean sauce today and NOT ONE of the prawns in both dishes was deveined. So when you bite on a prawn, you bite on the grit & poop in the poo sack of the prawn. That is DISGUSTING!

Compared to other Chinese takeaways, this shop seem to use frozen prawns because the prawns did not have the texture of prawns when eaten, they had a powdery texture - no fresh prawn has that texture.

The beef dish I ordered was fine.

If I spend £7.20 each on a prawn dish and can't actually eat the prawns, that's supremely ridiculous!

Today 24th Jan 2024 I received a menu from this place via letterbox but my complaint still not resolved so won't be making any orders until the owner contacts me for a replacement meal.

I have been using bamboo garden for a number of years and before lockdown we had issues with our food ordered for delivery. But started picking food up directly from shop. After lockdown I gave them another chance to my disappointment. The staff are friendly. Front of house and cannot say a bad thing about them. However the food was not to standard and the portions are very small. The reason I am given 3 stars is for the guy taking orders...
