Rough Rousy and difficult to understand the staff, service and atmosphere. Although this place us to do good food some time back it is not the same as before. The staff is very unusual with the service and demand the money as if they are looted everyday which for me is hard to believe as they have been there for long time and also i have been there customer for long time. I believe i am getting back the attitude from business after all being there long time and being ther customer and making them what they are, unfortunately for me it doesn’t work this way hence the review is long enough. Since last couple of years in there busy time they would have purposely run out of chicken and lamb shawarma. Looking to upsell you however strategy doesn’t work as they purposely hold it back and fail to sell you taouk be it chicken or lamb.
Most unfortunate experience for me is the way they deny taking order for food despite them being able to serve you food even though they claim to not have shawarma when its most required and also fail to sell its alternate. I believe either owner or the staff from establishment dont want you as customer as you may make there life difficult by forcing them to make an effort to serve you food. I would take it easy and not bother to write this review but them taking every effort to make me feel neglected as a patron of there business over years makes me feel bad. The professionalism is lost and rowdy customers in premises makes it easier for the business to do well but its about time that business keeps turning eye towards there genuine customers and council and authorities will question the integrity of business and licensing questions will force them to embrace discipline in the business as its getting out of hands and we as there neighbours at there backdoor entrance understand there rowdy and unsocial behaviour at the back door of the business as we turn have been turning eye to what has...

I called Sahara Lounge to order a lamb burger for takeaway and was told that it would be ready for collection in 15 mins. I got there and was waiting for 30 mins after they told me the wrong collection time.
After collecting my food, I got home to notice that the lamb burger looked like a cheeseburger and so I called the restaurant and explained this to them. Farhad, who answered the phone assured me that it was a lamb burger as Sahara Lounge do not sell cheeseburgers (beef).
After eating a bit the burger I was convinced that I was given a beef burger as it tasted nothing like lamb. I looked up the menu online to find that the restaurant does sell cheeseburgers and Farhad (the guy who answered the phone) lied to me. I called the restaurant once again (Farhad answered again) and asked if they sell cheeseburgers and was told yes. I again explained that my lamb burger seemed as though it was a beef burger. I was told that I was given a cheeseburger as they had run out of lamb burgers (due to religious reasons, I do not eat beef, therefore, I am really upset that Fahad lied to me in my initial phone call). I raised this to the manager Shahad.
Shahad explained to me that Sahara Lounge workers are not good at communicating hence this mistake was made. This, in my opinion, is not a good enough excuse, as customers may have serious dietary requirements which evidently they don't care about. I was offered a 6.50 voucher in which I refused as I do not wish to return to this restaurant.

From the moment you step into Sahara Lounge, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that blends modern elegance with traditional Middle Eastern charm. Whether you’re here for a casual dinner, a special occasion, or just to unwind with friends, this place hits all the right notes.
The food is exceptional — fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The mixed grill was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender with just the right amount of seasoning. The lamb chops were a standout, and the mezze selection (especially the hummus and falafel) was vibrant and authentic. Portions are generous, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients.
The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They made excellent recommendations and ensured we were comfortable throughout the evening.
Another highlight is the shisha lounge – relaxed, clean, and with a great selection of flavours. It’s ideal for winding down after a meal with a cup of Moroccan mint tea.
Prices are very reasonable for the quality and experience you get. Sahara Lounge offers something special – a perfect blend of delicious food, great service, and a chilled vibe. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
