Semosh — Restaurant in London

I rarely leave reviews, but an exception must be made for one of the worst dining experiences I've had. The service here is unbelievably poor..

After finishing starters, we had to wait about an hour for mains to arrive, with no explanation for the wait. Restaurant wasn't too busy and was a Friday night. When asked about this, the waitress, who seemed to be manager, simply said "It's not a fast-food restaurant", before walking away abruptly. This manager needs to be trained in basic customer service.

The food itself was ok, but let down by very small portions. Mains (lamb and chicken shish) were disappointing. Nothing wrong with the food, just overpriced.

Already unhappy with the service and wait, I expressed discontent with the portions. I was told by the same manager that each portion is weighed out, but was told in such an aggressive, defensive manner that it left us all shocked and confused. This aggressive behaviour continued throughout the evening, to such a point that we had to leave early. Multiple times we were told we could leave if we didn't like the food and could see other tables uncomfortable at the managers awful manners. I've never seen someone so hostile over a comment on a meal.

We had high expectations for SEMOSH and thought it was great for the first 20 minutes. But this experience has been utterly ruined by the rude and confrontational behaviour of the manager. She should be embarrassed by...

This is the only place to have fabulous homemade Turkish food anywhere! It’s fresh every time and the welcome from the lovely Dee and ( not forgetting her lovely husband on the grill!) her staff is second to none. You feel like part of the family when you’re eating there. You can see the food being cooked on the grill through the glass screen from anywhere in the restaurant it’s lovely, professional but with that touch that feels like a warm blanket around you !!! The food well I usually have the king prawns for starter which the sauce with them is out of this world ! Then I have chicken Shish I’ve never tasted chicken that is so tender and almost creamy dreamy !! The mixed dips with the bread is to die for ! I did try the liver last time and that was amazing too with beetroot to cleanse your palate ( which I didn’t know was a thing until this week!) Coban salad is yummy too! Had the sheftalia as well first time I’ve tried that, I should have known better at my age and had it before ! Just an incredible experience everytime delivery constant love and care to each and every customer that walks through their door. I’m immensely proud to have this restaurant local to me and as they should be to own it ! Go and try you’ll regret...

Think it was out of order that a cake can’t be taken into the restaraunt it can be cut at the table and if someone had an allergy they should be in control of it themselves. Won’t be dining again at this place, food was nice but over priced and not much atmosphere. Unfortunately I’ve had to review my comments the owner or Dee I think her name is has rang a person that they know in our party to complain about my review which is very unprofessional so that persons review says i knew about the cake policy and decided to ignore it which wasn’t the case and I was only aware of it at the last min but when we walked in with it the woman spoke very aggressive and abrupt to us which there was no need for she could have been a more polite and understanding about the situation and after spending £60 on a cake for a special birthday it spoilt the celebration for us. They should take all comments on board good and bad and not ring up people they know to complain, I was told to take my comments down but no way and fortunately everyone really enjoyed the...
