We've been living in Petts Wood for nearly 5 years and I can't believe it's taken us this long to visit Ming! We went on Saturday night for my partner's birthday and had a wonderful time. We had our three year old with us, and from the moment we walked in, the staff were super friendly and very attentive. They had a booster seat for our little one (which was upholstered with the same fabric as the chairs, small detail, but pretty cool). We opted to go for one of the set menus, and the food was absolutely delicious. The starters came out super quickly, and we were able to share that with out little one and still started to fill up. There was plenty to go around. Next was the duck pancakes. The duck was delicious and plentiful, and getting an extra pot of pancakes was also no trouble at all. Then the mains came out, and they were just the right size. There was so much food and we found ourselves defeated, but fortunately the leftover rice, and the extra curry we ordered were boxed up to take home no problems at all.

I would definitely recommend booking, especially on the weekend. When we arrived around 6pm, there were a couple of other tables occupied, but by the time we left a bit after 8pm, the place was heaving. Definitely seems to be a local gem, and we will very likely be back again...

Absolutely awful experience this evening from the moment entering the restaurant. Once seated at a table the waiter asked for our drink order and we asked for large cokes, he returned with 2 cans of Coke and explained that they don't do large drinks - this was Absolutely fine but he had a bad attitude, but I let it slide.

I then asked if they do a mixed starter selection, again he was rude and said its on the menu just pointing to a random item consisting of just spare ribs and prawn toast. He asked if we were ready to order and I asked to order the starters first to which he rudely replied "I don't do that, you order everything together and I give you time". Slightly confused by this as I've ordered starters first here before and then ordered mains.

I then asked what the ming special chicken was, he then went on to say " it's dry that's all I can say". With that we got up and walked out as the man was so so rude.

We have been here on multiple occasions and the food has always been good but the customer service we experienced tonight...

Normally, I would give this establishment five stars because usually the food is excellent, in larger portions than most places and served efficiently withpoliteness.

However, on New Year's Eve 2020 the takeaway service was horrendous; complete chaos -- I had to wait three and a half hours before I received my food (I was told when I booked it that it would take one hour twenty minutes!).

The problem seemed to be that too many orders had been taken. The result was that some people who had booked the day before, and a particular pick up time, were still waiting an hour and a half or more after the pick up time.

I suggest that the establishment calculates how many meals that it can make every twenty minutes and then allocates an appropriate number of slots for orders; closing bookings once these have been filled. The restaurant should consider carefully its staffing numbers for the occasion.

I hope that the restaurant learns from its mistakes and reforms, prospering...

Went today for the first time. My other half had many take aways but never a meal in the restaurant itself. 4 of us, 2 meat eaters and 2 vegetarians. Meat eaters were really pleased where veggie eaters were not impressed at all. I personally tried the veggie crispy noodles and only eaten the brocoli, the rest could not even think to digest. All vegatable looked like raw and covered in smile, not by my taste. Other half of the party (meat eaters) had duck, dumplings, seafood noodles and some kind of chicken- all great, even ordered more to take home. Tried some of their dessert but not impressed at all. Only 4 starts as desserts took forever to arrive. Had 2 extra frozen ice creams and flambeed banana, didn’t agree with my taste again. Service and atmosphere were great, but probably my other half will only continue to have his take aways from there

Never been to Mings although I've lived round bromley for years. But tried it on Thursday for a change. Lunch with my daughter and we had the 2 course set lunch, two spring rolls each really crunchy and delicious with sweet chilli dip. Then i had the beef with black bean sauce and noodles; beef was so tender. Yummy. My daughter had large prawns and vegetables with noodles. £2 extra on set menu price but worth it. Huge portions so we took some noodles home which she finished for dinner. Great that they do temperature check and hand gel on arrival wish more places did. Staff were attentive and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. A great lunch and will visit again. Thank you mings.

Staff Rude when we picked up our order and in front of my little girl too. Food is an absolute disgrace. We paid a fortune for smoked shredded chicken that came in one lump and was coated in sugar. I am sure that it was refried waste scrap chicken. It looked like someone’s left overs from the restaurant. Even my dog didn’t want to try it! Chicken and cashew which was bland tasteless anaemic slime. Veggie spring rolls pre packed and frozen rubbish. Bone dry chow main that was like shredded wheat with chicken! The bag it came in was full up when I took it to the bin. Don’t waste your money or your time. Have some toast or a cheese roll and save your money!
