One Inn The Wood — Restaurant in London

Absolutely great pub with some amazing local beers on tap, every pub should be like this pub! Even has letters on the wall from local mps congratulating the pub on how well it is doing. He prepared though at busy times though to be standing or spilling out on to the street as its a very popular place with not a lot of space. There is good food on the menu sourced locally such as scotched eggs but the offering are few and basic, but good pub grub all the same. Also worth remembering the place is cash only which strangely adds to the micropub atmosphere but I got caught out the first time I visited. All in all, 100% worth a visit, and especially a shining example of what a pub should be...

I visited here for the first time about a month ago. The staff were friendly and helpful, the bar snacks were excellent and it had a cosy, relaxed atmosphere to it. The spiced cider was beautiful, although I would have liked to have seen a wider selection of ciders and Perry's to choose from, as you could try the entire range in one evening if you wanted to. One In The Wood. No jukebox. No incessant chatter on mobiles. Just good old talking face to face over a great selection of real ales from microbrewers. If you prefer local-ish wines and ciders. Very friendly atmosphere with great bar staff serving drinks to suit all tastes. Depending on how bust it is you may not get a seat straight away but people are prepared to share a table -- to rest your drinks on not to eat....
