Sidcup fish bar — Restaurant in London

Tried this plaice for the first time since new ownership took over. The last owners fish and chips were horrible!!!! We stopped going there… Cod were cooked to order and certainly looked very good as they went into the box. Surprised to find that fish came with free tartar sauce and lemon wedge… all complimented by a generous ‘bag a chips’ Well it was gorgeous!!! Lovely fish, batter and great chips…. Under new ownership the last few weeks, and now the food is fresh and really high quality, the batter has a lovely crunch and the cod really light and fresh. Cash only at the mo, but the owner said once it gets busy he will start accepting card. Very friendly owner. Let's hope the standard stays as high as it is at the moment....

100% better then pervious owners. Nice pies including steak & ale and good chips. Cods ok and cooked to order which takes 10mins so best to call ahead. £9 for large cod and reg chips !
