Do NOT ORDER FROM SLAM BURGER EVER!!
I recieved a message saying I am one of the winners for the £50 voucher and it was a giveaway on Instagram and it had an expiry date which was 17th of April but I said I cannot come that day. Can I come the Sunday after and the official slam burger account replied saying yes, I can. I went today (24th of April) to collect it and I messaged them at 3:41pm and told them I'm going with my family for iftar to the Walthamstow branch.
They said and I quote from the conversation we had on instagram, "I had ask our marketing manager who said that it won't be a problem to collect the food after the limit. Do not hesitate to show them the conversations if needed!"
I go there and the manager tells me that we can't claim it because the official account needs to confirm even though they already did. There was a problem with the service in the shop as they did not want to deal with our stress. Instead the manager kept ignoring us until we slightly raised our voice and called the manager over to solve the situation despite the fact he can see us. He didn't even want to solve the situation. He could see we were upset but he didn't want to acknowledge us or talk to us. He walked away from our conversation and he didn't even apologise. The young boy at the till gave us dirts when we explained to him the situation. The management and service was very poor!! They could have taken us to the side and handle the situation in a calm manner whilst telling other customers to not get involved and the other staff will attend to them. Bear in mind, they didn't even offer us water and we were fasting. This was absolutely ridiculous and it was terrible management. The way they conducted themselves in front of us was very unprofessional. Not only this but the ones who messaged me, the franchise, (SLAMBURGER) are unreliable and unprofessional. I messaged them at 3, they replied at 7:12, saying I can go collect it and then when I tell them to confirm again at 7:33pm, they don't reply back!! And it's now 10:47pm and they have yet to reply. It's now the next day (25th April) and they saw my messages at 11:30pm and they have yet to reply or respond. They saw my review yet they have not apologised. They did a public acknowledgement of people, myself included, winning a giveaway. Next time, slamburger, if you wanna do a giveaway, don't give false promises or lies saying we can still go and claim it. P. S they didn't even give us vouchers.
Furthermore, I called the Birmingham office/branch as the manager from Walthamstow tells me this is the main branch and I tell them the situation and they hung up on me!!
I message the company's Instagram, they said its absolutely fine, we can claim it. There was terrible service with the Walthamstow branch and I called them 13x prior to coming to the branch and they didnt pick up and there were lies and deception from the main company!! I went to this place with my family and a three year old and to be treated like the way we were treated, not only from this shop but from the actual company itself is despicable and disgusting, especially in the month of Ramadan. This was false adversiting and do not visit this place whatsoever cause they are liars.
I have never had this situation with any other giveaway that I've won before! This is the first and last time I go to slamburger. One last thing to add, for me it's not about the free food, it's about the principle. Don't say we can go claim it and then say we can't and treat us like dirt. They have no integrity because they did not honour what they said they would.

Read moreThe ultimate HALAL experience & McDs alternative. The customer service was fantastic, attendant was polite and made great conversation. HUGE menu available but that's where the attendant's knowledge on all the products came to the fore. He made some cracking suggestions and we weren't disappointed with any. Even though they were mildly busy ordering was streamlined, no waiting around. Food was FRESHLY prepared not sitting under a heater like in McDonald's. I ordered 2 takeaway and had a 15-minute drive home, however the food was still crisp not soggy as can happen with takeaways. This is credit to the way the staff at slamburger package the food.
Finally, taste verdict, I had a double whopper and I have to say the taste was incredible before I knew it the burger was gone :D The fries were crisp & tasty just like McD's fries.
All in all a fantastic experience and will definitely be going again to try out the other menu items. Give them a try you will not be disappointed.
EDIT Having just read a few view of the negative reviews I thought it was important to mention that I had a large order consisting of three full meals in which each burger had different ingredients excluded. All the orders were as they should be and no items were missed off my order. I'm not normally this lucky as whenever I have ordered from other restaurants in the past there is almost always something is not quite right or an item has been forgotten. It's a pleasure to say that this was not the case with Slamburger keep up the...
Read moreClean space and bright decor. Food really hit the spot after numerous days of having rubbish takeout due to lockdown 3.0 and not being able to eat in. But car dates are a thing now so me and my girl ate good. So good, in fact, that I didn't even get to take any photos! The packaging was neat and everything was well packed in recyclable material. We were able to eat comfortably in a car without mess and it was just such a satisfying meal. I didnt even ask for any extra sauces as mayo is usually a must for me but I ate everything without even thinking about mayo. The DZ sauces were great. I ordered the Fillet Tower meal, which is a chicken burger with added hash brown that comes with chips and I ordered a cherry 7up. I also ordered chicken nuggets as a side because that's what I'd do if I went Maccies. Also chilli cheese bites are a must and I was happy about those. To top it all off, I ordered a Kinder Bueno tiramisu which was truly bueno in its own right. My friend had the Big Slam meal which is close to a Big Mac and she was raving about it. It's a shame there isn't anywhere to park on the main road where Slams in Walthamstow is situated but there are plenty of side roads nearby with free parking after 6.30pm. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving halal Maccies and I'm going to be making multiple visits to try everything on the menu, and to get some...
